About a year ago there was suggestion to rename the tag (divergence) to name which indicates more clearly that it is not about divergence of series but about the notion in vector calculus.

I saw that one other suggestion which appeared in the same discussion was already done: There is now a synonym convergence → convergence-divergence.

Perhaps some moderator would be willing also to rename divergence to divergence-operator. (This name was suggested by several users, see also here: chat.stackexchange.com/rooms/3740/conversation/…)

Alexander Gruber mentioned in the tagging chatroom that the plan is to make synonyms curl → div-grad-curl, gradient → div-grad-curl and divergence → div-grad-curl.

So basically what I am saying is that divergence-operator → div-grad-curl might be slightly better. (And it would be also in accordance with the post which I linked above and which is now at score 18.)

@quid To be honest, it's definitely not great (there are many questions with sequences-and-series tag).

But if it's going to be synonymized to (div-grad-curl) as Alexander Gruber indicated, I still think that it would be a bit better with the more specific name.

@user21820 I would not say that you should stop flagging. But maybe that there is arguably no urgent need for raising similarly themed flags.

@MartinSleziak in a way it is maybe a chicken-and-egg problem. I'll rename.
