@quid What's more, it seems that Saad is fond of deleting newly created tags(e.g.,,,) and rejecting edits about tags (e.g. improve usage and wiki, retag... )
Although it's better to discuss in meta before creating a new tag.

@AlexanderGruber@AloizioMacedo@quid I wonder if deliberate and persistent bumps of old posts with miniscule edits are in violation of the site rules. Thanks.

@Saad So in your opinion, correcting wrongly used tags is miniscule edit?

@Saad this depends on what you mean exactly.
Good faith edits that improve a post even only a little bit are alright as long as (a) all problems of the post are fixed, at least all glaring ones; incremental improvements should be avoided (b) the edits are not made in huge badges but only a couple at a time. Say, no more than 5 at a time; where at a time means an interval of several hours.
Basically it should not be a big disruption of the front page.
Re (a) of course the 'all' should be understood with common sense. If somebody fixes seven typos yet misses one, then they tried to fix all and overlooked one and that's fine. If you spot it, improve the edit.
Maybe I should rephrase (a) as: it seems that a reasonable good effort is made to fix all problems with the post.
An example of what one should not do is perform a search query for a common typo, fix exactly this one typo in all posts one finds with this query, yet do nothing else with those posts even when there are worse problems in them. Especially not if one does not have editing privilege and this would be suggested edits.
An exception to this are larger scale tag clean-ups. There it can be alright to only do the retagging while leaving the post untouched even if there are issues with it. Best practice would be to also fix the post, but sometimes getting done with the retagging in a reasonable time takes precedence.
But such efforts should only be undertaken once approved on meta or at least in some chat discussion.

@Saad : May you please explain your action in deleting the semi-simple lie algebra tags in here, here? It seems now it is you who has a strong opinion against this tag. Also, the first question has nothing to do with Lie groups.

@Andrews yes, if you plan to create a new tag you can bring it to the tag management thread on meta, or also the tagging chat room. If you get some supporrt there link the discussion in the edit summary.
