This is nuts. How did two users approve that without improving the suggested edit? Travesty.
Also, why would we even approve academia.edu links? Those require a user there to access. I mean, sure, if it was the official citation and requires a paywall. Here?

@AsafKaragila It seems that it is sometimes possible to bypass registration requirement. But personally I would avoid academia.edu links.

@MartinSleziak Yes, I would too.

It seems that this particular paper is freely available: philpapers.org/rec/CORMOI philpapers.org/archive/CORMOI.pdf

@MartinSleziak Also, bugmenot.

@MartinSleziak Also, the link you gave to the paper about ultrafilters in your post has rotted away and decomposed to a 404 error.

@AsafKaragila Which post is that?

5:05 PM
@MartinSleziak The one on academia.SE, that you linked in the message to which I replied.

@AsafKaragila Yes, I also mentioned that in the edit. But the workaround using Google Scholar and clicking on the link it offers still works.

@MartinSleziak Ah. I didn't read the entire thing. It seemed long, and it's hot and I'm thirsty. Also, I'm not entirely too interested in downloading things from academia.edu anyway.

Agreed. But at least once I was in the situation that the only options were academia.edu or ILL. Academia.edu seemed faster (just a few clicks away), but I did not want to register.

@MartinSleziak I have no plans joining social networks. Including academia.edu and the likes of it.

Actually, it would be archaeology.se for dating.
Possibly Physics for carbon dating.

@DanielFischer At least in set theory we have clubs and models. So we got that going for us.
