Also, why would we even approve academia.edu links? Those require a user there to access. I mean, sure, if it was the official citation and requires a paywall. Here?

@AsafKaragila It seems that it is sometimes possible to bypass registration requirement. But personally I would avoid academia.edu links.

Agreed. But at least once I was in the situation that the only options were academia.edu or ILL. Academia.edu seemed faster (just a few clicks away), but I did not want to register.
