I'm wondering about several synonym suggestions I made on meta on the tag management thread, here and here
Martin Sleziak made the point that there probably aren't enough active users on to approve the synonym but there are many eligible users for . How can I draw more attention to these proposed synonyms?

I suspect someone's using two or three accounts to ask questions here. Is it OK to do so?

> This is legal so long as there is no interaction between accounts and they are not used to bypass limits of a single account (suspensions, daily vote limit, month question quota, post bans, etc.)
@ShiveringSoldier I'd say that the short summary quoted above is the important thing. If a user has several accounts and they upvote each other posts, that is a problem. If a user posts more question than the quote for a single account, that is a problem too.
If some account is used while the user is suspended, that is also problematic, etc.
Let's hope some moderator will see your question and give some advice on what to do. But perhaps a reasonable way to proceed could be to notify the moderators about your suspicion using a flag.

btw I saw a local-suspension without a reason available
why so?

I see that @XanderHenderson was online not too long ago - I hope that it's ok to ping him just to let him know that there are a few questions in this room, where perhaps some input from the mods could be useful.

@ShiveringSoldier It's okay but pointless unless someone common interacts with them and takes away some rep...pointless because you can always ask a question unregistered

@AnindyaPrithvi On Mathematics you actually cannot ask question without registering. (Unregistered users still can post answers, though.)
You can check that this was marked some time ago: Let's require registration to ask a question.

@MartinSleziak Are you sure about that? because some time back i asked on chemistry SE w/o registering
Ohhh
okayyy

Yes, it is site dependent - some sites switched to allowing questions only from registered users. (I am not sure whether list of those sites is available somewhere.)

Maybe SEDE can help, I'll see

@MartinSleziak Thanks. I don't know if they violate any rules. Maybe I will flag.

5:21 PM
@ShiveringSoldier if they do so to ask more than they could otherwise, no.

Example of a function for which contour inequality is equality? I know that it has to be a positive real valued complex function. But I can't find an explicit example.

@user330477 This is not the right place for asking questions about mathematics (this is more of a meta-room for discussing the website).
You might have more luck here:

@XanderHenderson Thanks for your help restoring that dupe closure. I think you should send a mod warning to that user not to do that again. It wasted some of my time (and yours) to update the dupe list again, etc. Unfortunately there are some high rep users that do this frequently when questions they answer are dupe-closed, so it is helpful to strongly discourage this.
The sad part is that the time needed to find good dupes far exceeds the time needed to post quick answers. So it's esp. frustrating when one has to spend even more time in order to restore the dupe links after they have been destroyed (with questionalble motives).

@BillDubuque I am more than happy to help maintain good site hygiene. Please raise flags if you see this kind of behaviour again.

@Xander That's good to know. If only we could encourage users to forget about the gamification and concentrate on improving the site. Ideally we should be linking to and polishing older answers to FAQs instead of continually posting yet more quick (often poor) dupe answers to them. But the system doesn't reward such effort so it is little done (except by those who truly care about pedagogy and have thick enough skin to handle all the negativity cast on such efforts).

So... is anything going to happen with this answer lol

@SimplyBeautifulArt I had hoped that the answerer would reply to goblin's comment. Seems not. :\

I got many downvotes today (-38 reputation, 19 downvotes). all 1-2 hours ago. It does look suspicious to me. I got no comments which told me what was wrong with these questions or answers. Should I do anything about it or can a moderator look into it?
Or should I post on meta about it? I think it is also likely that a person used multiple accounts to downvote me twice. I can provide further information if requested.
