@DanielFischer Are you really sure it is not mod-editable?

@michaelpri Can you make "quick" changes to How to Ask? The first headline is doubled on the live version.

@michaelpri Is that page mod-editable? I was told by a moderator on another sites that it can be edited on by SE staff, not local mods: https://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/45159893#45159893

@MartinSleziak That one is. There doesn't seem to be any specific rule for which pages are mod-editable or not

@MartinSleziak At least it doesn't show me an "edit" link, nor a link to the revision history, like e.g. /help/on-topic does. Perhaps it's editable on beta sites but not on graduated ones.

Thanks for the response.
It is quite strange. But probably not that important.
I guess that if somebody finds the suggestion I made yesterday (about additions to that particular page), they might mention it either here or in chat.
Still, it seems a bit unusual to me that we have a page which is only displayed when the first question is posted edited in such way that it contains more site-specific details than the page with similar content which is in help center.
But when we tried yesterday, we saw that these two pages differ on other sites, too.

@MartinSleziak I've learned that if one asks really nicely (which involves having a convincing reason), a help centre page can be made mod-editable on a specific site. Generally, /help/how-to-ask is not mod-editable.
