it seems to be a job for computer engineer and not software engineer. I am not sure what you mean by that... These are pretty much synonyms to me. You can search for system programming, low level software development, embedded software... C programming jobs are going to be in these areas for the most part. — chqrlie 48 secs ago

Tip: Always inspect the stream state after an IO transaction to make sure it really did complete successfully. In general, never ignore a return code. Good programmers tend to be an interesting combination of lazy and efficiency-obsessed. If they didn't think you needed to know something, they wouldn't waste their time or the computer's returning it. — user4581301 27 secs ago

"Hardware Interrupt that most coders today have probably never heard of" -- I sure hope that's not true. Programmers who use async in this day and age need to know that fundamental concept or else they shouldn't be using async. — rory.ap just now

Welcome to Stack Overflow.! Questions that ask for general guidance regarding a problem approach are typically too broad and are not a good fit for this site. People have their own method for approaching the problem and because of this there cannot be a correct answer. Give a good read over Where to Start, and Minimal Reproducible Example then edit your post. — itprorh66 20 secs ago

I see Stephen. I'm sorry I'm a poor programmer with insufficient knowledge to ask a question on Stackoverflow where is the community for the sophisticated programmers filled with precise terminologies. seems to me that this community is not for me to join since it is for the 'real' programmer. On the other hand, after 10 years of answering questions on this site, I see your promising future lies ahead of you. good luck. — tmo 47 secs ago

@supercat: certainly there are use cases in which the malloc (& friends) interface is not optimal, something which could equally well be said for many features of the standard C library. On the other hand, millions of programmers have successfully used it, and many continue to do so. Looking at other languages' standard libraries, designed afterwards, does not actually give much support to the value of hindsight. You or I might have come up with different designs, but who knows what people would be saying about them 40 years later :-) — rici 56 secs ago
