Welcome to Stack Overflow. SO is not a free coding or homework completion service. Open letter to students with homework problems and How to ask homework questions: Make a genuine attempt yourself, show your code, ask a specific question. — kaylum 38 secs ago

@old_timer I don't think they ever hired an A team... it's more like "Hey, FAE Bob, can you write a CRT for this part between meetings? I'll need it done before Friday." For decades there's been a fierce competition between silicon vendors over who has the most incompetent programmers. — Lundin 29 secs ago

Note: Microsoft (and others) use a font name, but in reality they are many fonts, for different language. (Just they have same/similar font style). So you may miss the font. Or maybe it is how you display the characters: show us your code. Note: this site is for programmers, we have a sister site: superuser.com which handle user problems (and maybe your question is more relevant there) — Giacomo Catenazzi 44 secs ago

I am wondering if this is better suited in Software Engineering SES. Dre 41 secs ago

for(int i=1 ; i <= rows ; i++): all the loops are one-based, for no reason. In C++, please prefer to use zero-based loops, like in for(int I=0 ; i < rows ; i++). You will have less problems in the future, and avoid confusing other programmers. — prapin 58 secs ago

I like this solution, so elegant, so easy to understand and nudges future developers towards software engineering instead of cargo cult. — coz 49 secs ago

"Stack Overflow issues Unwelcoming attitude towards new users/beginner programmers Prevalence of trolls who control the site Difficult for new users to offer answers Even more difficult for new users to get an answer to a question Frequent downvoting of questions, especially if they’re not technical in nature or seen as duplicates"Rone 19 secs ago

Why do you believe that recursion is a good way to solve this problem? I see too many times where it would be far simpler to write a simple loop. That way, you are not potentially exhausting the stack, and probably would be easier to solve. I also see too many times, new programmers who visit those "online competitive coding" sites simply think that recursion "looks cool", but are unaware of the consequences. — PaulMcKenzie 9 secs ago

@PeteBecker • Without knowing how it was compiled, on what platform, with which compiler, and the intent of the OP, I don't know. We have a dearth of information, and the OP doesn't seem to be interested in their question. Maybe the OP is making new programs, but compiling all the source together, g++ *.cpp (which has been an issue some new programmers have asked on SO before). — Eljay 48 secs ago
You are right, the = value doesn't make sense. As for debugging, do you have any website or software recommendations which will help me debug it line by line? I only use Chrome Developer Tools. — Rebja A. 51 secs ago
Recommendation requests are off-topic for stack overflow, but this question might be on-topic for Software Recommendations. Check out their on-topic page. — dbc 37 secs ago

What did you try, what is not working? StackOverflow is not a homework service. Make a fair attempt and come back with specific questions about that attempt. See the open letter to students with homework problems. — Willem Van Onsem 21 secs ago
