Note: Microsoft (and others) use a font name, but in reality they are many fonts, for different language. (Just they have same/similar font style). So you may miss the font. Or maybe it is how you display the characters: show us your code. for(int i=1 ; i <= rows ; i++): all the loops are one-based, for no reason. In C++, please prefer to use zero-based loops, like in for(int I=0 ; i < rows ; i++). You will have less problems in the future, and avoid confusing other programmers. — prapin 58 secs ago

Why do you believe that recursion is a good way to solve this problem? I see too many times where it would be far simpler to write a simple loop. That way, you are not potentially exhausting the stack, and probably would be easier to solve. @PeteBecker • Without knowing how it was compiled, on what platform, with which compiler, and the intent of the OP, I don't know. We have a dearth of information, and the OP doesn't seem to be interested in their question. Maybe the OP is making new programs, but compiling all the source together, g++ *.cpp (which has been an issue some new programmers have asked on SO before). — Eljay 48 secs ago
