Welcome to Stack Overflow. Please read Open Letter to Students with Homework Problems. You can't just dump your problem statement here and expect us to do it for you. It's also a good idea to take the tour, read about what's on-topic in the help center, and How to Ask. — Chris 59 secs ago
Library recommendations are off-topic here. Software Recommendations Stack Exchange is a better place to ask. — John 17 secs ago

This question is far too vague and broad in scope for this site. SO is for specific questions related to programming (code) or use of programmers tools like IDEs, compilers, and so forth. A broad How do I create a video game like this commercial one? is clearly in no way specific, and asking us to tell you where to look/post isn't appropriate here either. You'll find your experiences here are much better if you spend some time taking the tour and reading the help center pages to learn how the site works and what is (and isn't) appropriate to ask here before posting. — Ken White 50 secs ago

@S.S.Anne: Should the goal of a quality compiler claiming to be suitable for some range of tasks be to do the minimum required for conformance, or to make it easy for programmers to accomplish such tasks in a way meeting their requirements? — supercat 54 secs ago

This is probably a better question for software engineering exchange. Stackoverflow is more of debugging code. More theory type questions are better on software engineering exchange — Rashid 'Lee' Ibrahim 56 secs ago

Alcia, you've been with SO for long enough, do you know that this question is specifically off-topic by asking us to "recommend or find a book, tool, software library"? While I hope that there will be some who can give you relevant advice (I cannot, my apologies), I suspect that this question will be closed or passed-over by many. I feel the plight, though, as softwarerecs.stackexchange.com/ is just not as well trafficked. Good luck! — r2evans 40 secs ago

Please use a debugger. Discussing a problem which nobody can reproduce will never help. If you are not able to use a debugger, add debug couts as long as you understand what is going on. But it is highly recommended to use a debugger. It is a must for programmers to be able to monitor own programs. — Klaus 15 secs ago

If you want to help with coding this in some specific language, we can help you. But if you are looking for a software, then you need to ask elsewhere, like at Software Recommendations. + Knowing your local platform would also be relevant + Btw, lftp should be able to sync over SFTP. — Martin Prikryl 19 secs ago

@MartynA Good question. My boss asked for this. He wants some external javascript-programmers, who use vscode, start with freepascal / delphi without changing their environment. He wants to spare them the need to make aquaintance of a new IDE, and by this achieving greater acceptance learning a new language. I too really don't know what the benefits of coding in vscode are vs coding in Lazarus or Delphi. But the boss asked for this. — Stefan Nolte 27 secs ago

Service is not an Angular term, it's a paradigm in software engineering that Angular uses. Services contain the repeated business logic that does not belong to a certain component (sharing data is not business logic rather a workaround to overcome a programming issue). If you want your service to save its output then you should inject persistence (local storage, db, apollo, etc.) as context to that service. Besides, this variable in your shared service is accessible to any piece of your application without any hierarchical constraints, very similar to global variable pattern. — Wildhammer 24 secs ago

This is a very valid question. Even I didn't understand the documentation and reached here to find the answers. Similar questions have been asked on SO many times when people wanted to know the difference between STL datastructures etc. OP secured a gold medal for this question, which shows how valuable it has been for so many more programmers who didn't understand the documentation. — Nav 1 min ago

Say rather that we old school programmers know of DBCS but also know of UTF-8: for we all know that programmers are just like addicts when they say 'one more line and I'll quit!' I'm sure some programmers eventually quit but frankly programming really is like an addiction for me; I get withdrawals from it. It's a good point that you add here. I don't like C++ (I tried really really hard to like it even writing quite a bit of it but it still is for me aesthetically unappealing to say the least) so I can't comment there but you make a good point anyway so have a +1. — Pryftan 27 secs ago

It's been a long time since I wrote any PHP, but in general this solution seems like the wrong approach to me now, especially in a case as complex as many to many polymorphic inheritance. Inheritance mapping smells of hard coupling your database schema to your object graph, which is an abuse of the RDBMS. This answer explains the problem much better than I can, this many years removed from using an ORM like Doctrine. This blog post also has some useful ideas. — Peter 52 secs ago

Questions that ask "where do I start" are typically too broad and are not a good fit for this site. People have their own method for approaching the problem and because of this there cannot be a correct answer. Give a good read over Where to Start, then address your post. — Waqar UlHaq 25 secs ago
