So what I comprehended from your answer sending json object is helpful when it comes to send an array. Is it convenient for programmers to code or is it convenient in being sent over the network? — Rishabh Malhotra 1 min ago

What exactly doesn't work? The timer or what you're trying to do with the timer? Also a little tip, I recommend creating a class to put getCPUInfo() and convertClockSpeed(string s) in. It will make your code better. C# methods should also start with a capital and tell exactly what is done in there, so that even non-programmers can understand it. — Mayfair 32 secs ago

The take-home message for programmers: Today, there is no need for #defineing "optimized" function-like macros (e.g., max(a,b)) with their multiple-evaluation, precedence and semicolon problems. (They are still useful if you need access to compile-time macros such as __LINE__ or __FILE__ (see assert()) or when symbol concatenation or stringification is needed (e.g. for variable/code generation). — Marcel Waldvogel 22 secs ago

Welcome to SO. Please read What topics can I ask about and How to ask a good question and The perfect question. SO is not the place to ask for a tutorial, nor the place to find free programmers. Your question should show that you've put some efford into solving your own problem and should be answerable without writing half a book. — icecub 44 secs ago

Another thing to consider, is that you simply can't modify files in Program Files. One reason is to prevent applications from overwriting one another due to bad paths. Older Windows versions would simply throw an Access Denied, but lazy programmers tried to make their files writable during deployment. Later versions will redirect those writes to other folders. There are specicif, well-known locations to store per-user or per-application documents and data. For app data, it's the %APPDATA% folder. That's where your database should be deployed — Panagiotis Kanavos 52 secs ago

This process does not appear to be "compilation" in the commonly-understood sense used by programmers. PHP does not get compiled, in any case. I think what you're really doing is concatenating some files together into a single file. I've changed the tags to reflect this. — ADyson 57 secs ago

@Cid: "For production it's horrible." -- is that specific to JS because of var vs let or general software engineering? I'm a JS neophyte but use probably have used this idiom occasionally in Python and other languages. So the actionable question is, should I just stop this or is it truly a "gotcha" coming from other languages. (In Python the gotcha would be assigning by reference for complex types vs by value for primitives.) — Philip 40 secs ago

@Barmar 'unfortunately'? Your comment reads a bit exclusionary to people who didn't learn coding in an academic environment - you may not have meant it that way but it does have an unfriendly air about it. There is no reason self-taught programmers can't have also self-taught themselves boolean logic. — Klaycon 24 secs ago

No offense taken, I agree that the majority of users here are likely self-taught. I also think that understanding boolean logic is a good tool to have in your development toolbox. I personally learned about it at university, but that doesn't mean self-taught programmers shouldn't know about it. — Jake Holzinger 32 secs ago

@Klaycon Of course, education is no guarantee of anything. But it's more likely to produce qualified programmers than self-teaching. — Barmar 1 min ago
