Not sure why there's off-topic close flag being raised. If someone thinks any of the tags specified is off-topic please let me know why ? This is not strictly C++ related, but maintainability question related to a practice followed by programmers (at least many programmers w.r.t the code base I'm working on currently). — aep 59 secs ago

Have you tried writing any code? This site’s goal is to help people become better programmers, not to help someone avoid becoming a better programmer by doing their entire assignment for them. — VGR 1 min ago

Dynamic programming is mostly math, and arguably months / years of training. Its nothing you learn and understand in a day. Most programmers will never need it. I'd suggest you go over to leetcode.com and solve many DP problems until you get the hang of it. — Charles 15 secs ago

Now you get to experience debugging, the part of programming that many new programmers don't realize exists. So what is null on line 118, and why. — Kayaman 51 secs ago

btw prefer std::vector for dynamic arrays, they are easier to work with and less error prone. Also read about why c++ programmers should minimize the use of newformerlyknownas_463035818 9 secs ago

Some programmers would just do soemthing like moment.weekdays().map(e=>inputCaloriesByDay(e)).reduce((a,c)‌=>a+c,0) really not carrying about performance or readability :) — Cody G just now

@AgileNoob: Your concern is valid. I apologize that you were not able to find help here. Unfortunately, there are some types of assistance which stackoverflow just doesn't provide; this is intentional. You might be able to ask for software recommendations on softwarerecs.stackexchange.com (Software libraries recommendations are explicitly On Topic). — Brian just now

Hi @michel-t! I obviously don't agree with you at all. As I have given example of here v4 is in no way back compatible with v3. If it was, you should be able to run v3 code in the v4 scripting engine, and you're not. So if you guys are too lazy to track 2 tags that would both reduce your cross-talk from all the programmers who will try to copy paste code from v3 into v4, and confuse your user pool even more, fine with me. — not2qubit 7 secs ago

Taking 20 seconds to draw 80 controls is absurdly long, very hard to write code like that. This doesn't have anything to do with your project or the OS. Next one on the list is the anti-malware product, invariable a scourge on programmers' machines that make executable files appear from seemingly no-where. Temporarily disable it and try again. — Hans Passant 35 secs ago
