I would say that 90% of question comments are ones that ask for clarity, so sorry if we seem to be nitpicking but programming language compilers are rigid and unforgiving, and so programmers must learn to be as well. Well, maybe not "unforgiving", but just a bit OCD, yes. — Hovercraft Full Of Eels 40 secs ago

Welcome to SO. Stack Overflow is a question and answer site for professional and enthusiast programmers. The goal is that you add some code of your own to your question to show at least the research effort you made to solve this yourself. — Cyrus 26 secs ago

1) WAYY to broad, depends exactly where you work. 2) same as 1, I work in Z/OS, so I edit programs with the ISFP editor. So think notepad with a bit of syntax highlighting and you can only see 20 lines at a time. 3) same as 1. Yes there are COBOL programmers on SO, but no one will answer questions that too broad. — SaggingRufus 53 secs ago

Yes I believe plugin asume that file is in your local machine. It make all more complicate in taht case and I afraid I can't help to solve that problem. Only one thing: are you sure it is a right way to work with your files? Usually programmers work on local machines and use git to deliver changes to server. — Arseniy-II 40 secs ago

Hi Software Engineer, I do not know arcgis abilities, but Highcharts creates a graph in HTML element with specific dimensions by using JS code. So if arcgis allow you to add a layer as HTML element, it should work. — ppotaczek 15 secs ago

Pipe doesn't making chaning easier, it makes it more difficult and verbose. Pipe was not introduced to make chaining easier but to simplify treeshaking. Fwiw I think it's a mistake to shape api's to satisfy tools at the expense of programmers but w/e. — Neutrino 22 secs ago

@Neil If programmers aren't taught the basics of data structures, then I'm sad. — Matthew Watson just now
This question doesn't seem to be about programming. If you are looking for software tools, perhaps Software Recommendations will be a better place to look. But please be diligent about reading the help pages at that side and making sure that your question is on-topic and follows the rules. It is off-topic for StackOverflow. — RealSkeptic 32 secs ago

StackOverflow is dedicated to helping programmers solve their programming code problems. This Q is off topic here, but may be more appropriate on superuser.com OR askubuntu.com . Please read the help center and Minimal, Complete, and Verifiable example before posting more Qs here. Good luck. — shellter 40 secs ago

"required function". It sounds like you might need to think about getting these other programmers to write their plugins to an interface. Now the question becomes "find, instantiate and call interface implementations in an assembly". — spender 45 secs ago

I would then suggest you create one or more interfaces that declare the methods you want to call. The classes from other programmers will then need to implement those interfaces (it forces them to implement a method your "user interface program" will understand and can execute). When obtaining types from an assembly, you can then check and filter whether a type implements one of those interfaces... — elgonzo 29 secs ago

(By the way, my last comment is in addition to HimBromBeere's suggestion. Load the assembly/ies produced by the other programmers "manually" - per HimBromBeere's suggestion - and then enumerate/filter all the types from those assemblies that implement your interfaces...) — elgonzo 11 secs ago

@toc: When unsigned types were added to the language, it would IMHO have been best to simply forbid certain operations from being performed between them. Existing code wouldn't be using unsigned types, and having the compiler squawk if code that's changed to use unsigned types has unmatched comparisons would have let programmers examine each such case and determine what cast would be required to yield the semantics that the program actually needs. As it is, though, some code relies upon the weird corner cases mandated by the Standard, making it impossible to change. — supercat 14 secs ago

Since this page is a Code Review, I'll add my 2 cents too. I see lots of early programmers getting caught out with typo issues while bouncing in and out of php to display their data -- for this reason I don't bang on too hard about multiple echos. The last table row doesn't have enough columns in it. Calling date(strtotime()) is a bit cumbersome to look at while printing to screen; instead consider modifying the query to format the date column so that the result set is completely prepared. — mickmackusa 56 secs ago

No, you're expecting a SEDE query for a user's rep at SO, which is a Meta Stack Overflow topic. Questions about SO itself belong on Meta Stack Overflow, which is clearly explained in the guidelines. This site is for programming (code) or programmers tools related questions. — Ken White 47 secs ago
