I don't know what should I do now. You should take the tour and read the help center guidelines as was suggested when you created your acount here. In particular, see How to Ask and Minimal, Complete, and Verifiable example. This site is for specific questions related to programming or use of a programmers tool. This question is in no way specific. — Ken White 46 secs ago

A public method can be called by anybody, and you have little control over that. A private method can only be called by other code in the same class, and you have full control over that code, so you can (theoretically) guarantee that private method is called correctly. Well, if you trust yourself and your fellow programmers, that is. Do you? If not, you probably should validate, to guard against code errors. BTW: Did you look up the meaning of defensive programming? You should, then you'd know what I'm talking about, and you wouldn't have to ask me. — Andreas 23 secs ago

C was designed for use by expert programmers. It gives you plenty of rope to hang yourself with, you just have to be careful. Modern compilers warn about many common mistakes, but they can't catch everything. — Barmar 29 secs ago

@fabian also it is not always possible to dissect each method in a class and all its sup classes to see if there is some way to squeeze a child in there. As programmers we need to trust good design and that is what my approach did — Lonely Neuron 6 secs ago

Welcome to SO. Stack Overflow is a question and answer site for professional and enthusiast programmers. The goal is that you add some code of your own to your question to show at least the research effort you made to solve this yourself. — Cyrus 38 secs ago

I'm not trying to be critical or insult you. You made the same mistake that hundreds of other programmers make. I spend my days helping people like you, I'd like to understand the thought processes that lead to these common errors. — Barmar 8 secs ago

This kind of memory optimisation it is not something we .NEt Programmers usually deal with. Especially in XAML UI Virtualsiation should keep the memory profile manageable (blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/albulank/2009/11/12/…). And if you actually have memory issues, you Backend Data is a thousand times more likely to be the issue. — Christopher 47 secs ago
