Fine, except for the last sentence "JavaFX is something that no Java programmer can afford to ignore." => If you don't plan on creating GUIs with a Java Toolkit, then you really could completely afford to ignore JavaFX if you wished (and most Java programmers that I know that only write server code do so). — jewelsea 10 secs ago

(5) Returning 0 on error seems like it's left over from some C code? In JavaScript you'd return null or undefined from a function that's supposed to return an object. I suppose this is a style issue but no JS programmers would return 0. (6) adding properties to WebGLObjects will crash if you ever want to handle context lost. (7) using window.innerWidth and window.innerHeight is also a style issue but you can see why there are arguably better ways heregman 41 secs ago

Your first issue : If it is caused by different dotNet versions ? Well, the answer is no,because they are two different applications and their DotNet version has nothing to do with the crash/deadblock(i'm giving a basic answer as u haven't added any information at all). The second question is If it's happening for the INITIALIZECOMPONENT,well, try to think logically, can this ever cause a problem at all ? The last and final questiong If it is unsolveable, always remember, nothing is impossible ,at least not to us,i mean to programmers :).Add a bit more info+code regarding the problem — zack raiyan 45 secs ago

ShellExecute[Ex] (an in-process shell API from shell32.dll) implements elevating via its "runas" verb. This is a convenience API, so Windows programmers don't have to directly deal with the complications of making a remote procedure call to a system service. I don't know why they chose to implement it in only in the shell API rather than add another function in the CreateProcess* family. It's not fundamentally different from CreateProcessWithLogonW or CreateProcessWithTokenW, which send a request to the Secondary Logon service. — eryksun 15 secs ago

I think this question can be better answered on Software Engineering StackExchange, because that is the place where these design related questions might get responses. Once you have begun your project and face issue with the code, and have already searched, then you might find it easier to get those doubts cleared on Stack Overflow. Thank you :) — ValarMorghulis 1 min ago

@ValarMorghulis this question is a very poor fit over there - it would be quickly voted down and closed, see Where to start?. Recommended reading: What goes on Software Engineering (previously known as Programmers)? A guide for Stack Overflowgnat 34 secs ago

@gnat It might get closed. But I feel it stands a chance of survival because it's a requirements and design question, and the OP actually has a few technologies in mind to architect the same. As per the help center softwareengineering.stackexchange.com/help/on-topic , it should pass, right? But I could be wrong, in which case please let me know what I may have missed. — ValarMorghulis 10 secs ago

"in C ++ it is possible to overload only virtual functions" - That's not correct, however if you want to use polymorphism (calling a method through the pointer of a base class) you need to. Perhaps you should move the question over to softwareengineering.stackexchange.com and rephrase it to get more insight and suggestions on the subject. — Murphy 38 secs ago

Questions that ask "where do I start" are typically too broad and are not a good fit for this site. People have their own method for approaching the problem and because of this there cannot be a correct answer. Give a good read over Where to Start, then address your post. — Suraj Rao 30 secs ago

I cannot see why asking programmers who have been doing the same thing to give the benefit of their experience is out of place. Surely, the advice here is going to be of more programming utility than that found via an odd Google search! — DroidOS 36 secs ago

The C#/Excel way of doing it is "correct" in that it is the mathematical way. Your grammar, as you say, puts "PLUS before MINUS". This is not the case in the order of operations used in standard modern mathematics. It is as follows: Bracketed Expressions -> Exponentiation -> Multiplication/Division (whichever comes first, left to right) -> Addition/Subtraction (whichever comes first, left to right). You are, of course, free to define mathematics however you want in your own language, but I would highly suggest using the standard form, as programmers will already be familiar with it. — tradeJmark 22 secs ago

Type-based aliasing may have offered some benefits prior to restrict, but I would think that the latter would in most circumstances be more effective, and loosening some constraints on register would allow it to fill in some of the cases where restrict wouldn't help. I'm not sure it was ever "important" to treat the Standard as fully describing all cases where programmers should expect compilers to recognize evidence of aliasing, rather than merely describing places where compilers must presume aliasing even when no particular evidence of it exists. — supercat 15 secs ago
