@TitianCernicova-Dragomir You might be correct, but the question has nothing to do with the design principles. We are not questioning the design principles here. We are simply looking for a solution to a problem -- a problem that thousands of programmers were facing (obvious from the current number of views on this question). — user3330840 39 secs ago
ML Classification 0.01995078753744955 (Old classification 0.45000002)
The intent of the question was to find a solution to the problem not to argue on the design choices or problems. Most users here looking for a solution do not care whether it is a limitation of the Typescript language itself or compiler or anything else. Trying to evade the issue or defend it saying this is how it is supposed to work is not helpful for most of us. TS team could have simply provided a post compilation tool to fix the issue which would have nothing to do with the design of the language. Especially for novice programmers, these unnecessary nuances can be highly discouraging. — user3330840 32 secs ago

Finally, there is no purpose of having to defend this problem, because the problem is real and is evident by now. Again, it doesn't matter whether it is a language or design choice or design principle etc., an optional simple post-compilation tool could have simply fixed this issue. So, to those comments or answers defending this is how it is or how it is supposed to be, while your points could be valid, they don't solve the real problem developers were facing and the question didn't intend to argue with anyone over it. Only goal was to find a possible solution and help novice programmers. — user3330840 21 secs ago

A script can act on System A, yet have a structure of its own (System B). Thus, scripts can be programs. My impression of the consensus among most programmers is that all scripts are programs, but not all programs are scripts. — Asker 39 secs ago

Here's an article that describes going from 12 to 16 and "says" there are no breaking changes. That still doesn't mean that you can't have problems with some of your dependencies if they might be reaching into undocumented, "private" nodejs internals that could have changed behavior. You will have to test to know for sure. — jfriend00 5 secs ago

On x86, EB 00 is effectively a NOP; it's a relative jump with relative address +0, so RIP doesn't change other than going to the next instruction. On most systems with memory protection, using absolute address zero will fault because the OS chooses to do that. (This helps programmers detect accidental NULL-dereference bugs, vs. having them overwrite something else.) — Peter Cordes 29 secs ago

As long as you can get a pointer or other frame data reference it should be trivial to convert to a bitmap. If you are looking for a complete library you might want to ask at softwarerecs.stackexchange.com . However, in my experience, it is kind of a pain in the ass to deal with video on .Net, there are just not a lot of good libraries available. — JonasH 21 secs ago

hi @AaronBeaudoin - it's absolutely, totally, completely normal in programming that we wrap a function in a clear simplification. .static defines a certain behavior. as you mention, it may happen to use something under the hood currently: that could change or otherwise in the future. for any call in any programming milieu, it's always possible, as you suggest, to "not use it and do it yourself" if you feel like it. note that indeed many programmers (or in specific situations) just don't like using express and trivially do things by hand instead. — Fattie 16 secs ago

Questions that ask "where do I start?" are typically too broad and are not a good fit for this site. People have their own method for approaching the problem and because of this there cannot be a correct answer. Give a good read over Where to Start and edit your post. — gunr2171 11 secs ago

Why is this downvoted? You're reading source code and you want to know what it's referring to. Should you look at the "use::" declarations at the top? Where do you look? This sounds like basic software engineering. — Test 39 secs ago

Again, as requested, please edit your question with a proper example of the expected result for any given inputs. We don't need any further descriptions. Providing an example and rewriting the existing description is a better way. And what makes you assume I'm a "bro"? Not all programmers are male, and in some cultures "bro" is actually a bit of a pejorative term. I'm not offended personally but as a friendly note I'd suggest to refer to people here just by their username so you don't accidentally upset anyone :-) — ADyson 24 secs ago
