I would recommend Udacity: udacity.com/course/java-programming-basics--ud282. They have very helpful and friendly courses for new programmers. Additionally they have beginner Android courses created by Google. It's all free — TechRando 29 secs ago

Greetings. You've done a good job summarizing your question. Also, this is more of an architectural question than a technology specific question. You might consider posting this to the Software Engineering stackexchange. — zanerock 55 secs ago

You could try Software Recommendations, though you'll have to be much more comprehensive about your specific requirements—see their guidelines. — Slaw 28 secs ago

I feel that this question is a bit of a grey area for stack overflow. It's not strictly speaking, a programming question - however, it still very much falls into software engineering. I'm voting to keep it open, unless it is linked to a specific question on a partner (stack exchange) site. — Arafangion 5 secs ago

Hello @kaan, thank you for the well thought out answer! I can understand everything you mentioned. In fact, when I tried including the asterisk to java.io.BufferedReader, IntelliJ would give me an error saying a semicolon is expected, but its more like it was not expecting the asterisk to be there since we are already at a class and it has nothing to import anymore right? Also, I like the idea of exception handling here since that's what I used to do in C++, but is this the norm most Java programmers would use (sorry if I assumed)? Looking forward to your reply! — ken_you_not 45 secs ago

In VHDL an if statement can only exist within a process. It is a sequential statement. The when-else construct is the equivalent and it can only exist outside a process as a continuous conditional assignment. (Unless you're using VHDL-2008). Which you use here is immaterial. You're problem stemmed from your thinking like a software engineer, from your thinking that vid_pData was like a software variable that could be overwritten. vid_pData is a signal, which is driven by a block of hardware -dvi2rgb_0 - and connected to another block of hardware - rgb2dvi_0... — Matthew Taylor 10 secs ago

Unfortunately, questions asking us to recommend or find a book, tool, software library, tutorial or other off-site resource are off-topic here. However, you may find better luck SoftwareRecs.SE. Install the development tools for each FPGA vendor and run your design through it. Try different devices till you have found the smallest (which might be the cheapest) . Then go to a big electronic parts website and find the price of each. Find the price of the dev tools and programmers and divide that through the amount of FPGAs you are going to produce. Add that to your device cost, then select the cheapest. Note that this only makes commercial sense if you are going to make a few hundred thousand/million. Otherwise don't bother. — Oldfart 1 min ago

It really doesn't matter who wrote the code, whether they're in another country, or even whether they're alive or dead. The code is C++, and C++ programmers worth their salt can find and identify these types of bugs in a short period of time, even if they didn't write the code themselves. — PaulMcKenzie 9 secs ago

hmm...[closed]?? Have you even read the publication of stackoverflow's boss? A lot of new programmers appear, and new approach towards them should be shown.I have no clue about c++, cython generates only .cpp file and .pyd file. I know how to use the .pyd file. It's a dynamic library that can be used by python like any other module. However, supposedly the .cpp file generated by cython should act as a connector or binder between cpython and the cpp application. How am I supposed to add this file inside the c++ application? — zooid 36 secs ago

@zooid There is simply not enough information in your question to produce a valid nswer. Closing the question has nothing to do with friendlyness towards new programmers and everything to do with this being a low quality question. — Jesper Juhl 22 secs ago

@Theod'Or Macros are literally the compiler cutting and pasting code for you; run cc -E to see the result of macro expansion. If you want code that works with multiple types, you're going to wind up with duplication at some level. Templates have the advantage of being standardized. They're well tested. Compilers will optimize them better. Other programmers will understand them better. — Schwern 22 secs ago

Welcome to Stack Overflow. Please read Open Letter to Students with Homework Problems. You can't just dump your problem statement here and expect us to do it for you. It's also a good idea to take the tour, read about what's on-topic in the help center, and How to Ask. Also, please read Why is "Can someone help me?" not an actual question?Chris 24 secs ago
