Yes... and some users might ask about interfacing with their devices on Ubuntu. Maybe not often, but it might happen. I don't see a need to remove it.

Because they make devices, it can be a very specific case - but only if someone asks.

So let it die, but don't remove it from a question if someone uses it.

As for binutils... I will just leave that alone.
