Make sure to mention whether you rebooted after blaclisting that module, and also show the output of lsmod | grep intel_vbtn after rebooting. I would also open a terminal and run journalctl -f > some_file_name. Then wait for the crash, and add the last lines of some_file_name to the question.
Oh, and mention what desktop you are using too. Is that Gnome? Are you using X or Wayland?
