@David I never commented before or downvoted anything that you posted, but your comments about close voting questions for being off topic need improvement. Many of these questions that you commented about are specifically and corrected tagged, so that the reader would know from reading the tag usage that they are on topic at Ask Ubuntu.

@karel it took me a while to try and figure out what you could be talking about. All I can come up with is the arrow next to the question. The popup reads. This question does not show any research effort, it is unclear and not useful. I have been using it in that way. When it is clear the OP did no research and or the question is not clear. If that is wrong then the popup info needs to be changed.

I'm just reminding you to review the questions' tags before posting a comment that a question is off topic.

Q: Community Ads not being displayed

Random PersonAccording to this statement: September update: Community Ads are now live network-wide. All ads with a score of 6 or higher, or with a score of 4 or higher and no downvotes will be displayed (except for any that have a note from the CM Team explaining why it wasn't selected). Community Ads are ...

@RandomPerson thanks!

@Zanna you're welcome. Since community ads will only be displayed till end of year, I request you to add the tag as soon as you can (such that SE staff can act immediately and resolve the issue and community ads will get the maximum attention till end of year).

I think staff still check posts tagged
am I confused?
oh okay, it seems we're supposed to use the status review tag

4:05 PM
@Zanna I think they check such posts in MSE.. not in child metas.
@Zanna or maybe they used to check bug posts in AU meta back when the SE network was small..

the definitely did check them before the status-review tag was introduced (earlier in my own time)

@Zanna what do you mean by "it seems"? Did you confirm with someone?
@Zanna oh.. ok. When did they introduce the red tags?

@RandomPerson no I read the MSE post about it
@RandomPerson I don't know, but the status-review tag was introduced relatively recently

Q: What posts should be escalated to staff using [status-review], and how do I escalate them?

JNat For context on how this process came to be, please see our initial commitment to responding to Meta and Mods, our guidelines for the testing period, and the results of the initial test and next steps. This post contains guidance to ensure moderators understand when to escalate issues that they ...

there were other red tags long before

@Zanna oh.. like featured, status-completed, status-planned, status-deferred?

yeah, all of them have existed since I joined the site except this one that came into being about a year and a half ago
I remembered to use it for feature requests hahaha
never escalated a bug
I guess the site is mostly working as intended
