@RandomPerson I'm in the nope column as well
Simply because enough folks are active there to reshare what we need with context for folks who are not

5:03 AM
@Seth those messages got a lot of stars... there are starred messages from this year on the second page of all the stars among much-starred messages from 2019 as well as 2020
anyway while the chat used to be way more active some years ago, I think it has got slightly more active over the last ~1 year compared to the previous ~1 year
@JourneymanGeek does that happen? I don't remember anyone sharing anything from there before Random Person posted one a few days ago

5:17 AM
@Zanna you're right, it's not a fair comparison to years past. Makes me feel kinda sad tho. Oh well, everything had its time. The discord that sprung off from here is HUGE now.

well that's good... but why is everyone there instead of here?

That's always a complicated question
I don't even remember any particular AU drama ._.

So,..

The ayes to the right: 3
The noes to the left: 2
@Zanna :)
@Zanna yup. I don't recall anyone sharing anything from MSE here.
@Zanna I think we need to ask them...
and we're soon gonna have an ad which directs to the Discord server.. so more people might join there. But, there's also an ad for AUGR. Hopefully, more people will join the chat :)
@JourneymanGeek what is "drama" in the context?

@RandomPerson a lot of time, people moving to off site chat is precipitated by some disagreement, either with other users, or the management
AUGR's reasonably drama free

I can tell you this..
everything is not visible explicitly.
there are issues which the few active users of AU might know.

6:16 PM
possibly, hence "remember"/"particular"

@JourneymanGeek Pardon me. Can you please be more clearer?

@RandomPerson there might be non particular reasons, or ones I don't remember nor am aware of

@JourneymanGeek I've heard about a particular "drama" (that I won't bring up by being more specific about it because I don't want to stir things up) that supposedly drove people away from AUGR. I wasn't active at the time, so I don't know about the situation in AUGR at that time, but you probably know more about it.

or have forgotten :D

6:20 PM
@BeastOfCaerbannog I guess this was before I was an AU user. I have no idea about this.

@RandomPerson Yes.

In any case - uh

@BeastOfCaerbannog ok.

chat's a bit messy in a lot of ways and hard to find so....
@BeastOfCaerbannog the one big bit of AU drama I remember was a massive amount of vote invalidation

@JourneymanGeek What happened then?

6:26 PM
@BeastOfCaerbannog more or less there was a massive complex voting ring, and people lost lots of rep :D

@JourneymanGeek Hmmm. Interesting!

1 hour later…
7:51 PM
@Zanna Discord is a full featured chat suite and this is just a website tied to a specific "forum".
And it has reputation requirements.
Originally the discord was just an experiment but it turned into its own community
