Hello Zanna

hi!

Any chance you have issues with touchpad scrolling after latest update?

I last updated about a week ago I think
not having any issues yet :D
I see linux-firmware is getting an upgrade...

Okay, this non scrolling is really messing me up, used to be able to use the touchpad and slide two fingers up or down...now that is gone
Is there a way to un-update
*?
That would be a nice feature to updates, a reverse update from last button

10:30 AM
yeah... downgrading packages is hard
let me reboot and see if I have your problem :D

thats when it happened to me

nope, it's all good :/

that was fast

have you checked what packages were upgraded?

10:32 AM
was it linux-firmware or the kernel?

How do I check that, I think it was linux-firmware

you can check /var/log/apt/history.log?
if you used apt...

I used the "A" software updater
lol

maybe /var/log/dpkg.log has the background processes?
I mean procedures
I don't know what I mean but maybe it has stuff
@xtrchessreal you can report a bug against it for starters

I'll look for it and then post a bug if I don't one already posted
*find

10:39 AM
hopefully it will be fixed in a subsequent update
also, it might be a change of settings

I get denied permission on those logs
let me sudo

like, have a look in xinput list-props <id> where id is the number listed for the touchpad device in xinput list

@x:~$ xinput list-props id=4
unable to find device id=4
x@x:~$ xinput list-props id=14
unable to find device id=14
x@x:~$ xinput list-props id=3
unable to find device id=3
x@x:~$ xinput list-props id=2
unable to find device id=2
I'll just deal for now, look for a bug report and then report if necessary
@Zanna Thanks for the help
its almost 5am here need to sleep, have a good day :)
@Zanna Hey I rebooted again like the third time now the scroll is back
Yay!!

11:08 AM
@xtrchessreal you don't have to put id=2, you just put 2
@xtrchessreal fantastic news :D
@xtrchessreal good night and good morning :)

and good day

Well something worked, a stuck bit maybe...who knows
okay night...
