Q: Why did 'the system identify' a high quality post 'as possible spam' in review audit?

technastic_tcI was reviewing posts in the First Posts review queue and I got a review audit. Link to the review audit: https://askubuntu.com/review/first-posts/1093198. I found it was an audit by clicking on the link of the answer. There was this text mentioned in the audit (visible before passing the audit a...

@technastic_tc I think GopalS's answer make sense. However, OP doesn't seem to be interested in responding. Also, the post linked seems to be the closest possible related post.
"all answers were not working" is very much vague and doesn't provide anything specific. I'm not sure if they are still looking for an answer.

hmm..

@Zanna Please go through the suggested edit and the flag which I've added to this question: askubuntu.com/q/1285132/1103140 This question shouldn't be closed TBH.

@technastic_tc closed as a dupe instead as aptly suggested by @Kulfy

@Kulfy Can you please explain me why you rejected my edit (askubuntu.com/review/suggested-edits/1093249)? I would like to explain why my edit shouldn't have been rejected.
The author of the question mentioned some extra information in the comments (askubuntu.com/posts/comments/2180824). I edited the question and added the software name which was mentioned by the author in the comment and also added the GitHub page link of the software from which the author copied and pasted some info.

@Zanna For the completeness, my comment is now deleted.

@Zanna I don't think closing it as duplicate is accurate as well.

@technastic_tc Your edit added as if the question was specific to the installation of that particular software (which would be compiled from the source later on). However, it was not. It may be the case where OP can't figure out the package manager on Ubuntu or unaware of what DNF is. The pre-requisite was to install make and gcc.

2:18 PM
If OP needs further help, they can edit the question which will queue it for reopening

@technastic_tc I'd encourage you to post a comment explaining why. I'd wait for OP's edit or comment.

@Zanna The author of the question didn't frame the question properly. The author gave some crucial details in the comments which can make the question answer-worthy.

You can ping me anytime here or in the Downboat.

or they can post a new question about the next problem
@technastic_tc they asked about the point in the instructions where they got stuck. That's OK
If you want to post a Q&A about how to install the specific software, go for it
you can post a comment for OP
and add your Q&A to the targets!

TBH, we need to give time to new users (probably a week). New users will feel bad when their first post gets closed. They might end up leaving the site since many don't have the patience to learn the sites rules and regulations. If the user doesn't respond in a week, then it's ok to take action on that post.
@Kulfy hmm...

bbl

@Zanna hmm.. edit within how many days such that it'll go to the review queue?

@technastic_tc That's certainly debatable. Honestly speaking, very less users are eager to follow a particular post for a week.

@Kulfy I've already added a comment on the post replying to guivrec
@Kulfy sure!

@technastic_tc Instantly. Posts are pushed in reopen queue if they are edited within 5 days of being closed. See close questions privileges.
Or someone casts a reopen vote.

@Zanna I'm not good with compiling software. I'll research about the software and try to do it.
@Kulfy ok...

2:29 PM
@technastic_tc I saw that in the first place. When I said that I encourage you to post a comment, I meant a comment explaining why it isn't a duplicate question. Sorry, if my words were unclear.

@Kulfy It's ok. Please don't apologise. I'll add a comment explaining why it's not a duplicate some time later.
@Zanna ?

@technastic_tc Perfect.

@Kulfy I searched in search engine regarding BBL and there was some NSFW content 🤦🏽‍♂️. Anyway, thanks for the sharing the relevant website.

The second result may confuse you more. :

@Kulfy yeah..

@technastic_tc I meant I'll be back later
@technastic_tc since closing in general requires multiple users and sometimes coordination, I do not think it is practicable in general to wait for more than a coffee break or two to vote to close. As Kulfy mentioned, an edit to the question body will send a closed question to the reopen queue, so I don't think there is a problem with voting to close immediately
however, there can be problems, such as the post being deleted before the OP is given a reasonable chance to edit it (or respond to comments in a way that allows other folks to edit the question into shape)
and, probably more often, the post being sent to the reopen queue by an edit that is inadequate to make it reopenable, and the reopen review task being completed with the result Leave Closed without the OP being given a reasonable chance to make a better edit
that's one reason to possibly avoid making correct but superficial edits to the post (like formatting improvements) while it is on hold and before OP has responded in any way to the closure. This is something that I myself do, and should probably try to avoid (but for me it is not easy to get into a workflow on SE sites that allows one to revisit posts to do something after allowing time - if anyone has any excellent tips on that I am all ears. Or eyes I suppose)
In some ways I have become less cautious recently because the main problem, I feel, is that getting posts reopened is hard without coordination (coordination via chat, usually the Downboat) and sometimes it is hard even then. But now it is not hard for me to get posts reopened if I really want them to be reopened, so I am slightly less worried about them failing to get reopened as a result of my ill-advised edits. But I should probably still try to avoid those edits.
greetings @Pandya :)

@technastic_tc no obligation :)
