Q: Is shared subtree concept in linux only handles mount events?

Karthik NedunchezhiyanAt the beginning while I started to study about shared subtree I thought shared-mount will share all to its peers and slave-mount will get a modification from the parent but not propagate its modification. For example #1: If dirA is shared-mount and dirB is slave-mount then if I create a txt fil...

@JusticeforMonica If I understood correctly from the comments, your now-deleted meta question turned out not to be a bug but intended behavior with a specific explanation. I understand that you no longer consider the behavior to be a bug, but it seems to me that having the meta question exist with the explanation posted as an answer would be helpful. You might consider undeleting it. (You could of course retag it if you like.)

@EliahKagan I think I was confused about how things worked. I'll undelete the question, re-tag it, and post why I was confused :D

@EliahKagan done! For my personal comfort, I've changed the font color of .tagged-interesting to something that provides me better contrast.

Bo rislavI am searching for an option to execute a custom sh script when the power source of my laptop changes between battery and AC.
