When OP mentioned a Ubuntu version in question, should I have to test in that same version? or any latest version?

@Biswapriyo It depends on the issue, it's very hard to know. If it's a command-line thing, then the version is probably irrelevant. If it is a GUI thing, then the version is more likely to be relevant.

@terdon uhm. Totally the wrong place for it - but I updated that post you asked me about
Feel free to poke a comment or two if further clarification's needed

@JourneymanGeek Oh, thanks! It was just idle curiosity though. I was wondering if there were some seeecret path to modhood that had eluded me :)

Hello

I am trying to create a child process with its own private filesystem and mountpoints. I managed to create the child and have its own pid namespace. But when unmounting in the child in propagates to the parent for some unknown reason. I mean by that that when the program ends, the parent actually has its /proc also unmounted because I get the following issue in the terminal after the program finished:

    $ sudo ./container
        [sudo] password for john:
        waiting children
        In child

@traducerad As not many people will read your question in this chatroom you might consider posting it on the main board: askubuntu.com
