Q: Cannot find files after moving (Ubuntu)

Q: Broken links starting with http://%20https://

MelebiusAn edit suggestion like this pretty often appears in the review queue. These edits are generally fixing http://%20https:// to https://. (%20 means an escaped space in URLs.) Does anyone know why such broken links appear so often? Shouldn’t they be corrected automatically?

@TheLittleNaruto I'm online now.

Q: Ubuntu best files to delete to free-up disk space?

AmraaroninI have very minimal disk space inside an ubuntu 14 LTS. I wan't to create a bash script to constantly free-up unused space. What are the most critical paths I can constantly delete? (e.g. temp files, random unused packages, etc)? any suggestions will help :)

@DKBose I am going to post that another question
Please feel free to add your answer

@TheLittleNaruto ok

@DKBose Done! Thanks for doing the right thing.

@TheLittleNaruto you're welcome. Next time you post, it's useful to mention the KDE Plasma version (from KInfoCenter) because, if you're on Kubuntu 19.04 with backports enabled, things could be quite different than what we have with Kubuntu 18.04.

@DKBose I have Ubuntu 18.0.4.

@TheLittleNaruto So you're not using any version of Kubuntu?

@DKBose Yes not using KUbuntu; just installed plasma on existing GNOME
and switched

@TheLittleNaruto okay!

Q: sytemd reads file from /lib/systemd and ignores corresponding service file from /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/

ixMI have upgraded several servers from Ubuntu 14.04 to 18.04 with no issue. However, on a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 install, I have encountered a problem that seems strange. I have edited the systemd service file located at /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/tomcat9.service but my changes made n...

@pLumo No, but there's no need to. You have a 24h "grace period" to award the bounty manually after it ends.
> The bounty period lasts 7 days. Bounties must have a minimum duration of at least 1 day. After the bounty ends, there is a grace period of 24 hours to manually award the bounty. Q: Remotely changing the password on Ubuntu system accounts

DaveTheScientistI've recently set up an FTP server (well, SFTP, but that's not important) for a number of people and their projects. For security reasons, people were given system accounts so they have no SSH access (we don't want them to accidentally modify files, install anything, or run programs; accounts wer...
