Q: Restrict Access to SSH server based on incoming key type

SeemaxI am running ubuntu 18.04.3 server HWE edition in my local lab and while reading the manuals I came across the issue that I am unable to determine how to exclude users from connecting to my server via ssh which do not use a key created using the ed25519 algorithm. I know that I can configure ssh...

@WinEunuuchs2Unix the way I understand it, is that the dump lists all the changes the user made. So I learned something new from your question even though it's a dupe!

Q: USB device not acknowledged

gearheadI have a USB device (a new "B-L072Z-LRWAN1" demo board from ST Micro) When I plug it in the board boots and LEDs start blinking, but ubuntu (18.04.3 LTS) does not react at all. The board never appears in the lsusb listing. I've tried both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. I have run tail -f /var/log/s...

Consider the following code snippet:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <string.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <fcntl.h>
#include <unistd.h>

int main (int argc, char *argv[])
{
    int fd1;
    char buf[128];
    fd1 = open(argv[1], O_WRONLY);
    if (fd1 == -1) {
        perror(argv[1]);
        return EXIT_FAILURE;
    }

    /* Enter the data to be written into the file */
    scanf("%127s", buf);

    write(fd1, buf, strlen(buf)); /* fd1 is the file descriptor, buf is the character array used to
 hold the data, strlen(buf) informs the function that the number of bytes equal to the length of the
which I can just compile with gcc main.c -o main
I use a bunch of libraries but didn't explicitely add -lfcntl or whatsoever
how does it come I do however have access to the function definitions
Am I implicitely linking somehow?
What is going on behind the scenes?

Has the number of automatic flags cast for spam been reduced from four? In the last couple of days, spam seems to linger just a bit longer.

Q: Bash Script - Automatic fill the given password when prompt for password

HaratWhen a certain command is executing with .sh bash file and terminal ask for password to execute command. My Question is "how to fill default value when asking for password".

@DKBose I liked Pablo's comment there and added dump.dconf to my daily backup.

@WinEunuuchs2Unix thanks, now I have to see what gzip -9 is all about!

11:00 AM
@DKBose Unlike Pablo's monthly backup to dropbox, I do daily backup to gamil.com. My commands are: dconf dump / > dump.dconf followed by tar -rpf "$Filename" dump.dconf

@WinEunuuchs2Unix I'm a Kubuntu user and dconf doesn't figure much. BTW, do you use any qt apps on your system? I suspect they won't be captured by dconf.

11:22 AM
@DKBose For bash GUI development I use yad which might use qt but I don't use qt directly. In Python I've used tkinter but only briefly and it may call qt but I'm not sure.
One more delete vote needed: askubuntu.com/questions/1170967/…

@WinEunuuchs2Unix yad doesn't seem to have anything to do with qt at least according to apt show yad.

11:52 AM
@DKBose OK... Remember it was you concerned about QT and I never raised the issue :P
