I've now got it set to capture a photo once every 30 seconds.

I have enough space on the SD card for about 6-8 days worth of images.

So hopefully they hatch before then.

why not stream the webcam and taking the pictures on your main computer ?

I'm still hedging on whether I should go for that or not.

I think it's awesome they have tablet kits available right out of the gate in 4 and 7 inches.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying "move on from the pi". I think going ARM and getting packages/software working there is more beneficial in the long term than just grabbing an off the shelf more powerful x86 intel embedded thingamadoo

@JourneymanGeek I understand that side of the argument too. I think it better serves someone that just wants to run something right now to go the x86 more power route, but I think in the long term, crowd sourcing getting all the patches/ports to ARM working is the greater good.
