I am using the android app so I may not format the question properly. I'm using xubuntu 13.10 64 bit.
I had a problem recently with var permissions and I solved it like so

It worked. Now I have another issue that just popped up, maybe it's caused by var may...

Tried to purge nvidia using the command, but it goes through all the related packages and says none of them are installed, so not removed. I'm still here in the guest account. — user25649112 mins ago
@Seth (about our recent comments on meta): I don't think it is "a big fuss" - I see it as counterproductive when you are treated "unfair" by getting told you didn't pay attention when you indeed paid very much attention - even it is a machine that treats you that way.
I don't propose to cancel the audits but to tweak them - which was promised by kag9 ("we will keep a close eye...") (if I remember the nick correctly) and seemingly didn't happen, yet. You see I am not worried at all - but it annoys me when I am told off wrongly - maybe it's the wording too - my point: the audits in their current form eat up ressources unnecessarily. I repeat myself: keep them but ask the powers that be to improve them.
Yes, most everyone can agree with you there, however that should be done with constructive feature-request on MSO (you can post them on meta.au, but I don't recommend it).
I think it's already been proposed actually, lower the amount of audits for certain users per x audits failed over y times
bugging us is fine, just make it new and constructive. It's always best to step back for an hour or two after you get annoyed, makes for better meta posts ;)
@Seth I'll keep my promise - no more rants from me about the audits - especially nothing after being freshly annoyed - I don't open the review queue at the moment at all :-)
@hbdgaf well I certainly don't intend to initiate anything like a strike - I only know not to do things that tend to annoy me when I can do things that don't annoy me in that time.
interesting at least a little, although i thought i'ld be happier when i finished...
on the upside, it means the aircrack-like functionality i was trying to do in python would become useful again since bcmon doesn't react properly to queries... even if it sets things properly and allows monitor and injection.
i was a little frustrated for a bit because google-play installs of sl4a and py4a didn't work. had to go the non-app-store route to get the apks directly so they worked...
@Mateo I don't think the ones in the app store are legitimately sl4a etc. I think it's someone's respin that tries to do things a little differently and it breaks stuff. It might be a path-ing issue since different android devices have notoriously different paths...
It baffles me that android even has a setting "poll for wireless access points even if wifi is disabled"... makes you wonder what else android is doing without you knowing about it under the hood.
there were some others like keeping wifi on during sleep (turned off for battery), the nexus 5 nearly flatlines on sleep (as long as certain apps aren't keeping it on...)
nice. i'm trying to get as much of the pwnpad-like functionality as i can in to vanilla kitkat instead of doing the multi-rom thing again. pwnpad latest is compiled with kexec support OOTB btw.
o.O @KodduX - Ozzie quotes in the profile for the win
My point was that translations are often clunky in their wording and the immediate-bad in some of the audits could be recognized as clunky wording or wrong structure without even interpreting word meaning.
@Lucio anyway. no problem. i see how some things could be problematic for some users.
