Q: Does anyone actually monitor for successful kernel builds at https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline?

Michael GoldshteynJust a simple question: Is there a person responsible for monitoring the kernel builds at: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline ? It is extremely unprofessional of Ubuntu to have failed or incomplete kernel builds staged at the mainline website.

Isn't this a "service provided by Ubuntu and Canonical"? I had always understood that questions about Canonical products/resources were on topic and are actually explicitly included in askubuntu.com/help/on-topic:
@Zanna you're around, what's your take?

@terdon seems entirely on topic to me
probably better reframed to ask how (if at all) the kernel builds are monitored

Yeah, me too. It's the kind of thing I would love to make off topic, but that's my hangup and as I have always understood our scope, that is on topic today.
@Zanna Yes, and edited to make it less ranty, sure.

I'll try to edit it

Thanks!
Heh, I feel like a cop out, but hey, I'm not a mod here any more! :P

please re-edit if possible...
my baby is crying :|

I... think that takes precedence! Sure!

but, but, you already did it!
No fair! Supermom!

haha thanks <3 I meant please improve further if possible

I added:
> If not, what should I do if I find a failed build? How can I know who to ask for more details or an explanation for failed builds?
Just to flesh it out a little.

VictorI am getting this error when compiling: libz.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 From what I read online this happens when a directory which the script is calling is 32 bit and the script is looking for 64 bit library file. So, I need to install a 64 bit package zlib. How to install the 64 bit pac...
