@terdon When someone asks "How do I make the following changes to the official installation media" such as askubuntu.com/questions/1347519/… the official media does not remain "official" any more. Does it mean this question is off-topic? Thanks
 
@user68186 I would argue that creating the installation medium is on topic since that is presumably being done on an Ubuntu machine. However, if someone now uses that medium to install a system, then the system they have installed is not an official Ubuntu and, therefore, that system is off topic.

@user68186 OK. Please note that I am not the arbitrer of what is and is not on topic. I mean, if my argument convinced you, then great, but I am just presenting my own understanding of the rules.
But yeah, for what it's worth, I would say that question is on topic.
 
@terdon I understand, but I respect your opinion and your answer to the CAELinux question in the Meta made sense to me.
