Q: Installed ubuntu 20.04 from 0 - x509: certificate signed by unknown authority error on every app

learn123456I recently installed Ubuntu 20.04. Considering the time that passed since its release I thought it would be stable. After installing it, I go to Snap Store (named Ubuntu Software) and I see that several new programs appear, but after a few moments, only the editor picks show, nothing else. I try ...

@technastic_tc What @karel says is that Ubuntu 18.04 has two versions of Python, Python 2 and Python 3. The version of Python 3 is 3.6.5-3, with its binary as python3, and the version of Python 2 is 2.7.15~rc1-1, with its binary as python.

@user3140225 Which python version is mainly used by the OS? Any idea?
Is it safe to uninstall any one of the versions? I'm just curious....

@technastic_tc For Ubuntu 18.04 and later the main version (and the version that is installed by default) is Python 3. Also take a look in this question.
@technastic_tc That depends. I wouldn't recommend messing with the default Python installation, as the OS heavily depends on it. I think you have found that out the hard way.

11:34 AM
@user3140225 oh.. ok..
So Python 2 is available in the repository, but not pre installed in the OS. Am I right?
@user3140225 haha.. yeah. But since I didn't uninstall the pre-installed Python.. I didn't reach the dead end..

@technastic_tc Exactly.
@technastic_tc Yup. That's what saved you.
