@IanC idk, I've gotten pretty far in Dualingo just through my Spanish knowledge. And my Chilean Spanish teacher says she can understand Portuguese and her Portuguese friends can understand her Spanish.
@TheWanderer understand yeah, but speaking it properly is another deal. Because they are similar it's easy to think you know a word and say it wrong, which doesn't happen with other more distinct languages, where either you know the word or you don't
it's just my opinion anyways, but in matters of understanding each other spanish and portuguese are very alike for sure. You can't put a russian and a brazillian in the same room and expect them to understand each other straight ahead, but you can expect a spanish and a brazillian to at least comunicate :p
Hey I wonder, does sudo propegate? If I call a (bash) script with root privileges, which then calls a python script - does this python script have root privelges? (In other words, can it write to normally inaccessible locations?)
I'm creating a "server setup generator", which is supposed to setup our nginx + nodejs server "from scratch"; from a freshly installed ubuntu server image on a docker. -- Now I'm contemplating how to actually "get" the setup script on the server. How can i solve it?
PS: I'm using ubuntu 16.04.

I do not want the desktop to automatically do anything at all when I move a window to the top edge. I don't want it to tile. I don't want it to expand to the whole desktop. If I want to change the size of a window, I will. I really hate this snapping nonsense. There's no reason to get into a...
I would like to keep several functioning clones of a mint system on the same computer (for trying various ML related modifications).
Ideally, I would like to use cp -af because it seems quick.
I'm using mint 18.3 with grub2.
Each copy is on its own partition (most are the same size, but a few a...
