Also the mouse keys (in onboard) aren' t working anymore if i click one of them the mouse gets stuck on the key.

This exact same ubuntu machine was displaying the sound files before. I used to copy over the recordings from my phone to computer everyday. Suddenly sound files stopped appearing, though image files in the same folder are appearing. Will have to try on the windows boot now.
I need one more VTR from a reviewer to reopen this question: USB Live Pen Persistent Boot disk- in UEFI which was closed as too broad and has an accepted answer. Ubuntu live USB with persistence enabled will not post in Legacy, only in UEFI does not seem like a sufficient reason to call this question "too broad" to me.

I was working on a CTF problem for which i tried executing an image, that is, I did ./image.jpg in the terminal (i manually enabled that behavior in the properties). After I did that, my terminal froze. It sort of said two lines about how the file is not executable, but then froze. Any idea why it froze?
Was it stuck on an infinite loop or something, when trying to process the file?
