@Serg Since the discussion is moved here: Yep, but the questionh is how to order them :)
...merging abc + def into adbecf is quite different from abcdef. Exactly like the accepted answer in the linked dup reflects (the first output). This question asks for the second output. –
But let's see indeed. Unclear (for other reasons) is true.
@JacobVlijm I know those two methods are different, but judging from OP's post, they aren't doing adbecf. If they simply want to do cat file1 file2 file3 > out.txt , that's a duplicate anyway. It's just a matter of what OP wants , because there's already tons and tons of questions about merging files
@Serg Absolutely, but the question is to what dupe we should link him. He seems to want to merge only specific files. I think there is where the dupe definition is.
I understand that hibernation prevents (by default) the user from mounting their disk in read-write mode on Ubuntu. Attempting to use read-write forces erasure of hiberfil.sys.
How do I keep hiberfil.sys (and still mount read-write)?
Thanks :) I kind of feel there's a lot more i could add, but it's enough for now
Interesting. I've learned that . . .there's something known as icmpsh , a shell that uses icmp only, so scanning for TCP/UDP network won't work. security.stackexchange.com/a/148371/121824
First things first ... SCHENKER ships the same notebooks which are based on CLEVO barebones with Ubuntu preinstalled through their sub-company TUXEDO ... so it just must work somehow.
Even that I don't know the exact model you are having ... it is a quite new machine because it has the latest ...
Well, if it's ambitious, big program, then sure - ideal image is different from what the result is in the end. But with something like this : unix.stackexchange.com/q/337504/85039 where you need to make bunch of links from a list, i'd say one can get close enough
@MadaraUchiha @terdon as an informational addition to my answer : I again tested booting the installation media ... removed the 3 characters (---) and added nouveau.modeset=0 ! Worked perfectly ! :)
@Hizqeel Fine, thanks ! :) I was quite busy this morning ... wrote a long answer to solve the problem we discussed here yesterday -> askubuntu.com/questions/871978/…
@cl-netbox I do watch Soccer(but not that much & not a crazy fan :p ) and I am a player of basketball at University level(played 2 inter university championships tournaments ) just because of my height :D
@Zacharee1 would you rather me be saying i was hacking and coughing and throwing up all over people sick? Or would "ill", a word that covers all that, work?
excuse me sir for interupting the excuses discussion (:P) ... what do you say to the solution I provided ? I'm asking because you asked me to help yesterday and didn't respond on -> chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/34788338#34788338 ... @Zacharee1 :)
@Zacharee1 In this case I was lucky to know a lot about the company behind ... and if you think that the answer is good and useful, a +1 would be nice ... you appreciate them as well ... AFAIK ... :)
Speaking of VTC... How do I find out who / why VTC'd my question which I think is important to many Dell users booting from USB and has plagued me for years until today's solution? : askubuntu.com/questions/870452/…
@ everyone What a wonderful week! Got USB to boot after three years of trying. Got Windows 8.1 to run Mass Effect 3 without dropping to 10 fps. Found out blacklisted Nouveau driver module got loaded into Kernel somehow and was causing Ubuntu 16.04 to stutter every 10 seconds. Plus temps climbed from 20 below freezing to above freezing :)
it's actually cake in the box. The box used to hold a device built around /dev/urandom that put out waves of temporal displacement, but that was two years ago.
