2. Send it as multiple chunks (non-markdown lines can be combined still)
3. Send it as raw markdown and trust the readers can understand markdown

4. Use those cursed unicode math characters :p

alright, here's how I plan to handle Discord message conversion:

for single-line messages, the message will be sent as normal (with truncation if it's too long)

for multiline messages, the message will be sent raw, unless it is entirely a codeblock or quote, in which case it will be formatted as such

for messages that consist of a single image embed, I'll either send the URL by itself or send the username and reply to it with an image

for file uploads, I'll reply to the message with URLs to the files

mentions, channel links, and custom emoji will be replaced with their names

hopefully this doesn't lead to any weird edge cases :)
