A: What is the maximum length of a chat room message?

The limit of a normal single line message in chat is 500 characters. If you enter an explicit line-break (ctrl+enter on a Windows machine) you can lift this limit of 500 characters. but in the transcript you'll still see only 500 characters. Users would have to click the See full text link ...
