@Pikalek AFAIU, the provider of the peppers for the "rooster" sriracha brand stopped providing peppers, so they had to stop providing the sauce. I've seen this again this week on the grocery store shelf, but it was green rather than red.
The "closest" other sauce we've seen to the "rooster" sriracha brand was the Tabasco sriracha.
@Zibelas We have a medieval style restaurant here that sells a spicy drink and there is a protocol when this drink is ordered (you don't but this for yourself, someone else has to buy it for you), when you're done ingesting the shot, the waiters shout "and remember what's hot when it gets in, is hot when it comes out!"

@Vaillancourt Interesting - yeah according to Wikipedia it sounds like Huy Fong stirred up some legal drama with their pepper supplier Underwood Ranches. The ranch now makes their own sauce. HF moved to alternate pepper people but they've been hindered by recent droughts.
yeah, there were some articles like: who needs a contract, 20 years selling with none etc
Yeah, one of those "it worked great that way - till it didn't" sort of thing.
I'd say "all the more reason to pivot to making my own" but I have my own supply chain issues - didn't get any tabascos this year.

brother of my wife has a small greenhouse and is growing them there (and making the question-your-life sauces)
Neat! We've considered a smallish greenhouse, but our lot isn't well situated for one. Did they build it themselves, buy kit of some type or get it with a property?

they build it themself
it is not even that big, maybe like 4x1.5m
but enough for some tomatos, paprika and herbs
and I think 5 kinds of chilli

I've seen lately that some greenhouses did work during the winter with a temetature of like 2°C, they could grow some vegetables without the need of high temperature!
