@JohnnyApplesauce As a side note, when you want to format the text here as code, when you paste multiple-line chunks of text, a button should appear near the "send" and "upload" -> "fixed font", click that before sending.

@JohnnyApplesauce I'm glad that worked for you. For the record, I typed doctype html into a Google search, it suggested doctype html unexpected token which I clicked & the SO post I gave was the very first hit returned. Incidentally you can also tell that the problem is from the first character of the first line because that's what the ^ (aka carrat / hat / chevron) symbol is pointing at.
@bruglesco How'd your code testing & refactoring work out?

@Pikalek Not bad. Still learning. Trying to test as I go now and play catch up with the rest a little here and a little there.
