11:00 PM
Why'd you drop your old accounts?

Just account
It's a long story. Ask the Bridge, they love recounting it.

Lets not question the man that doesn't exist~

if he answers the question, is that not equivalent to observing him? which means he would then exist.

yeah, should I bring my graph out again?

necessary work hasn't been done to prove that I am infact observing him.

11:05 PM
@ArdaXi Is that actually abusing flags? I mean, it's not like it's anything hard core, but maybe someone could be offended by that.

I do not see how.
as I always say, I'd expect insulting one's favorite programming language should be more of an offense here, than cursing that's not even aimed at an user.

I'm not sure either, I'd say I'm the hardest person to offend ever, but I know some people.

nah all sorts of people are offended by swearing, thus the reason it's illegal on antenna TV in the US, and cable/satellite TV usually avoids it during the day. the people who are offended by it, though, generally limit their internet usage to Facebook and email (probably through Yahoo), so we don't see them much.

maybe one having a personal quarrel with me flagged it
we may never know

I think PythonInProgress doesn't like swearing, but he's not here

11:08 PM
Maybe since it's somewhat derogatory towards women?

if he wants to help me with Ars Ignis, the first step in the interview will be the swearing test
to show me he's got big virtual cojones
and can capslock someone to death

nonono, the most fun is when you can win an argument on the internet without using caps lock, instead relying entirely on perfect logic mixed with just enough wit to make your opponent see red with anger. >:D

@IcyDefiance sadistic

cough wonder what Kikaimaru's doing now cough

11:11 PM
anyway
since we've got new faces around

he probably broke himself by thinking of something that doesn't exist

Anyway, I think "Okay. Who's abusing their flags." was the wrong approach :/

we should be sharing stories
it is the right approach, for my remark is not offensive

@AlexM. your comments get flagged a lot

it is merely the reaction of a man who went through too much

11:12 PM
@ToddersLegrande xD

@ToddersLegrande shrug

Yeah funny video.

I think if I were to come here after losing a game of LoL, my messages would be flagged a lot too...

It's kind of like adding an animated video to a stand up act

told you guys I learnt some of my English from GTAs
what would you expect

11:14 PM
@Byte56 I used to draw stick figures and voice overs when I was little. Nothing more than static images. Then I would burn it to a CD(after doctoring it up in iMovie) and force my whole family to watch it
even though it was like 46 seconds long.

that's the evilest thing I've ever heard of

that's kind of awesome
I mean I would hate you if I was in your family, but still awesome

@AlexM. xD. I wouldn't actually force them rather I whined and got my way :P
@IcyDefiance XDDDDDD

Weren't you little like a year ago?
:p

@Byte56 I still am =)
how about

11:15 PM
me too!

5/6 years old

He was basically internet illegal a year ago

@AlexM. no.. lies

I'm just a bigger kid

11:15 PM
the beard is just an illusion

omg there are fleas in my new apartment
not cool

beards are an illusion, as is life, and pants

I've got bugs in mine, so glad I'm not staying there throughout summer
actually I told you about that bug I squashed

@ClassicThunder Can you get a room switch. Probs someone was smuggling a dog in(if that's not allowed)
or a cat

sent its head in the air, landed a long distance away

11:17 PM
*?

thank god there are no bugs chatting here
otherwise it'd have flagged it
or insect activists

there is a religion where the follows believe one should hurt other forms of life as little as possible, and that includes all forms of life, including microbial stuff

@CodeAssassin Nah I moved everything in and to move again would be a terrible pain. I'll just keep vacuuming and salt the floors. Usually does the trick.

like they wear masks to keep from disturbing the air around them, and sweep in front of where they walk to keep from stepping on bugs.

11:21 PM
@IcyDefiance Isn't that the more extreme fringes of Buddhism. ?

@IcyDefiance what about the bacteria their immune systems kill?

@ClassicThunder Google says it's Jainism, and looks to be related to Buddhism somehow. still reading.

@Byte56 can't see it :(

@AlexM. they realize they can't prevent all harm to life, but they want to do as little harm as possible.

@ClassicThunder Good idea.

11:23 PM

I knew it... Byte56 is a supporter of bugs.

look at his face, with that smile

They type so fast.

all commyflaggy and stuff

Q: Where can I buy freely redistributable (creative commons) game assets?

ErlendI'd like to know about any 3D asset shops out there that specialize in game assets and, most importantly, license their assets under an open license like Creative Commons or similarly permissive. We are looking to buy some professional looking assets for use and redistribution with our open sour...

Isn't this sort of stuff off topic?

11:24 PM
That one is of the Y2k variety. I know most of you kids are too young to remember that.

it's a Flagheisen's bug
they flag comments but each time one starts to notice it's a bug, they change their behavior
I've heard some might behave like... gasp
cats
they win pursuers over with cute gifs

@ClassicThunder Yeah, not constructive. I commented on the answer, but neglected to vote on the question.

and they like the number 56
@Byte56 Why did you pick 56?

I like 56

I picked 56 because I had to choose a number between 1 and 10.

11:27 PM
56 should be mascot of this room

@Byte56 witty response is witty

hey, I can turn my AMD motherboard into the mainframe
it's got an AM3 socket, so I can get a nice quad phenom in it

lol that scream

got 4GB spare RAM

11:29 PM
@Dave Bender is hilarious

i didnt like futurama much though

I don't watch futurama so I fail

family guy is where its at

@Dave Internet slap

I can't watch futurama without pirating it

11:30 PM
@AlexM. USA USA USA(chants)

yes, but we've got better beer
and Romania's on 2nd place in the internet speed top afaik
we've got awesome cars
and uh
oh yeah this never fails

All Romanians are vampires!? :D

I was going to say how if you're not descending from a native american family you're actually coming from somewhere around this part of the world
but yeah, your reason could work too: we've got Dracula
there's a certain advantage of yours, having access to all that's new in terms of tech and stuff
because it mostly originates there (from a market POV)
but sometimes the way your government acts, scares the hell out of me

They heard that.

shit

11:35 PM
@AlexM. Scares me too :(

The chat really has been bugged!

okay, who's the mole
what if I am, and I'll never find out :O

I'm told American beer is horribly misrepresented in other countries, because we mass produce so much and that horrible stuff is what gets exported. foreigners never taste our craft beers.
But I'm a pepsi guy, not a beer guy, so I'm just regurgitating what I've heard.

after all you'd expect them to be master manipulators

underage anyway, because for some reason Americans think it takes a greater sense of responsibility to drink than to join the army.

11:36 PM
@IcyDefiance That's a silly rule.

you also think driving at the age of 16 is safer than a chocolate Kinder egg

lol right

Clearly we need to raise the age to join the army to 21

or remove the age limit on drinking entirely and become like Ireland where the pub is the typical gathering place for the entire family. whoo drunk kids. :D

looking back, most of the people I know got their license when they turned 18 (minimum here)

11:38 PM
I think it was Ireland...

and quite a lot of them started speeding and drifting aorund town
a beer helps me reach a better flow
but anything more is counterproductive

most of the people I know were fairly responsible drivers. I mean most of the people I know are complete idiots and I don't want them on the road in the first place, but at least they don't see cars as toys.
I know a sizable number of exceptions though.

I don't get drunk, imagine the lines of code I'd write while being sober instead

I haven't had a good flow session in a while.
Too long.

@Byte56 o.0

11:39 PM
Flow is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does. Proposed by Mihály Csíkszentmihályi, this positive psychology concept has been widely referenced across a variety of fields. According to Csikszentmihalyi, flow is completely focused motivation. It is a single-minded immersion and represents perhaps the ultimate experience in harnessing the emotions in the service of perform...

@Byte56 *cyber slap

okay, who gets nostalgia kicks from this

lol I know I was making a . joke

to achieve the best flow groove, you need a personal guard who watches out for people about to ruin said groove, and throws those people out the window.

I remember having a blood elf hunter a long time ago, just when TBC was released
with a panther pet

11:41 PM
Rapping (also known as emceeing, MCing, spitting (bars), or rhyming) refers to "spoken or chanted rhyming lyrics". The art form can be broken down into different components, as in the book How to Rap where it is separated into “content”, “flow” (rhythm and rhyme), and “delivery”. Rapping is distinct from spoken word poetry in that it is performed in time to a beat. Rapping is often associated with and a primary ingredient of hip hop music and reggae, but the phenomenon predates hip hop culture by centuries. It can also be found in alternative rock such as that of Cake and the Red Hot ...

Groovy!

here, have some

I don't get it.

flow

11:42 PM
Are you wet, Alex?
oh I see

Line crossed.

blush most of the time :P

Flag it.

no no no
I like where this is going

ahem
I really have no idea how to counter that
I'll take it in
we've only got Mennen and Nivea in Romania, in most places
in some stores, like Auchan, there's Old Spice
I like Old Spice

Oh, well, we're pretty sweaty over here.
And we love choices.
Or rather the appearance of choices.

I always enter my room dramatically and say "Hello ladies."
and the ladies go "beep beep" foreveralone.jpg

That was a good one.

with all seriousness though, after X years of Mennen and Nivea it was nice to get something different

11:49 PM
Pretty serious.

oh yeah we also got Dr. Pepper, since a couple of years ago
hey things aren't that bad

You didn't get Mr. Pibb first?

Pepsi > all

Straight to Dr., nice.
I prefer water. Do you guys have that?

yeah, I drink a lot of that too, especially at work
sawdust sucks every drop of moisture out of a body

11:51 PM
I think the only soft drink that came from outside Romania and was accepted by the communist government was Pepsi
so we got Pepsi first
then Coca-Cola came in
and now we've got Pepper
@Byte56 yeah, I've got a bottle of mineral water near me
we have a lot of springs in our mountains
bad thing is, they're owned by outsiders

Oh. Mineral water.

e.g. one of the springs is owned by a Swedish guy I think

That's a bummer.

They get their water imported

we sold our gas reserves to the Russians
so we buy our own gas from them

11:53 PM
@ToddersLegrande Via rain. It's genius.
@AlexM. Short term gains for long term pains. Isn't that the way of politics?

small farmers lost power to big agricultural companies, which bought most of the terrain
of course, the companies are all Spanish, Italian and so on
@Byte56 hah, I guess
the communist regime had its merits, even if it was very severe
after all, after the regime fell, we were the only country in the world with all war debts paid
now we're full of debts again. and other countries have debts to us, and won't pay.
it ain't fun being small

If you want to be like America, get the debt. That goes for the government all the way down to the citizen.

I'd like to raise my own company here and patch things wherever possible, but the general idea is for the youth to leave the country and find a better life elsewhere.
I guess they don't want to bother fixing their own country.
can't blame them
to each his own
a stress-free life sounds good, and some would gladly abandon their country for it
