Is this question a spam? The link takes to website which contains an e-mail and ask for booking an appointment. biology.stackexchange.com/questions/59110/…

@Chris I think now its time to call the community managers. The question has been active long enough (although it doesn't seem to have got enough attention).
I see only 2 posts have >0 votes, so IMO we should take them forward
Species ID question template and SO-like floating header

Q: Do plants produce any heat?

jabalMany plants (e.g. roses, palms) can be protected from frost during the winter if shielded with an appropriate coat that can be bought in garden shops. Do plants produce any heat that can be kept inside with these "clothes"?

The above old (2011) question i found as very interesting as well its answers, too are gems.

@Tytoalba It would be very nice if our site re-design includes such count-down clock for comment-editing/ chat editing.

@canadianer I'm going to add another answer to that question to suggest outlawing you!!
@another'Homosapien' I think a week is not long enough concerning that post.
@another'Homosapien' Sure, almost nobody visits meta and those that do infrequently up/downvote posts, but any changes proposed in the post in question would be fairly "big" and therefore should receive more input (or at least time for further input). I think we should delay further action on this post for at least a month (if not 2). Arbitrary, yes, but the more time you wait the better chance you receive a more representative opinion.

The template is an interesting idea, but I see no way to avoid the problem that you'd have to force users to select tags first and write their text later for this to work.

@MadScientist this is true. The solution wouldn't be a 100% solution (i.e., it would not help in situations in which a specific key word or tag is not included). However, in most instances, the species identification tag is included, and a template would cut down on missing data from those posts (at least, that would be the plan).

but you typically enter the tag after writing the text, and then you can't just replace that text with the template

@theforestecologist Ha! I bet that would get quite a few up votes

9:39 PM
@MadScientist true. I guess I was thinking that the instructions/text in the "How to Ask" box was really the more likely approach, so I've been thinking about it mostly in that context.
@canadianer haha perfect -- good distraction from all those upvotes your anti-ID post is getting ;p
