I go out almost every night and sit down (very important, hovering is a no-no) with truly homeless friends.
Known to police and regulars, i don't speak until spoken to.
Unlike here, where i feel free to type.
Every item i've donated to the cause has been confiscated by authorities.
We're talking blankets, shoes, tents, even an electric shaver.
My professional friends do not understand. Friends whose careers i bolstered!
Friends who call on me to edit their résumés.
Friends who can weather interviews that would wither me.
