While I agree with the general sentiment, should there not be cases where other concerns override the respect for consent? "We Respect Consent Always" - what if a small child needs a bandage changed, or a skin problem treated? Though I realize this is getting close to a new question... — sleske 59 secs ago

Good answer, I like the examples and the distinction between someone close and not-close is made clear. For someone close, you will need to be honest and explain your particular situation. The answer from @BKlassen has a good example for that. — Manuki 1 min ago

What / how much does your grandmother know about your spectrum? How does she get along with it (-> can she handle this short answer)? What happened, what made her say that (-> it's a strange situation to say that without a reason, having a reason could prepare you for the next time)? I'd bet these are important facts to classify your situation. — puck 27 secs ago

In addition to not being backed up, I tend to disagree with your idea that men only depend on actions. I know many guys where a few words can mean the world to them. I think the main problem with guys is that they tend to avoid communicating emotional topics/needs, but they are there indeed. Men and women aren't as different as some might think :) — Anilla 32 secs ago

I think this is good advice for a bigger decision over a longer timeframe. (It reminds me of a frustrating time where I wanted to order a batch of hoodies, and seemed to have a dozen people wavering on a simple decision: didn't they want to buy this item of clothing or not? In that case, I cared, because the bigger the order, the cheaper the result.) However, I don't think it is as applicable here, where the decisions are smaller and shorter timeframe. With the card game, the whole decision making process was a couple of minutes while I gathered a tableful of interested people. — Oddthinking 10 secs ago
