I appreciate how you said, "Don't wait until you are angry": that seems very important. However, I feel like "I don't like it" will likely make the person saying it feel even more negative about the situation. Good work, though, +1. — anonymous2 59 secs ago

Good answer for when you are encountering people which quite clearly want to get physical. +1 — Loki 1 min ago

@bighouse All you need to come to is an agreement. As imus suggested, try and open a friendly rapport with them. They may not realize that it's agitating you at all as this might be behavior they've regularly displayed and not had anyone comment on before and it's just a misunderstanding. Most people if confronted with the reality that they're making life difficult for someone else will make an effort to make things easier, especially if you're living together. — FeralSquirrel 53 secs ago

I don't know if i missed it, but how did you respond to those accusations so far? — Raditz_35 1 min ago

@user3067860 Right. You can't change how she behaves. You can only change your expectations and responses and communicate them well. This is also why I disagree with the top answer, because it's based on an incorrect assumption (that you aren't in a relationship with his mother). — mbomb007 9 secs ago

I'm unsure what interpersonal skills you are asking about. It sounds like she has already told you how she feels. Are you trying to re-open that conversation with her, figure out how to dodge the question from friends, get ideas for how to spin your "how we met" story...? (The last would be off topic, but I think the other two could work.) — Em C 1 min ago
