but I'm not sure a year subscription is worth it

I've got years of back issues to catch up on, so it's a good value for me.

But if your concern is being up-to-date, it's not necessarily the best option, since it's got like a 6 month lag.

yeah that's why I'm not sure a long-term subscription is gonna help.

I guess it depends on how often I want to go back to old issues once I catch up. I figure I'll see how much I can read in a month.

I dunno. all the ones I'm reading are from 2012+ and if smart paneling is what I think it means, they all have them.

but I turned them off cuz a lot of them get the edge detection wrong and are cutting off dialogue.

yeah, that has been a problem for a while

i assume that's the thing where the screen zooms into individual panels and moves across the page in the right order? It was really cool when it worked.

ok. the article i saw just mentioned them as a thing. i had only skimmed it and thought it said they were updating/fixing them

it's a good idea, but it screws up too much

and it doesn't work almost ever on old issues

plus it's odd when I'm reading with my tablet in portrait position and suddenly it switches to a landscape panel.

what tablet are you using?

the MU app screws up on my g1 ipad a lot.

thankfully, i don't have to use it anymore.
