@Zacky I think I saw you claiming that an answer can only be undeleted by the OP in a discussion on meta. I will point out that 20k+ users can actually vote to deleted/undelete answers.

Although I agree that in the particular case that was brought up, it seems rather unlikely that somebody would vote to undelete that answer. (IIRC it was by a user called George.)

Since it seems that you plan to be more involved in discussions around deletions and undeletions, it is useful that you have correct information about how they work. That's the only reason why I'm mentioning this.

There is rather long FAQ post on Meta Stack Exchange listing many details: How does deleting work? What can cause a post to be deleted, and what does that actually mean? What are the criteria for deletion?

It's no a big deal, but I think the correct terminology is to ping. Tag/tagging is something different. (At least in the context of SE network, but probably also in the meanings used outside of the SE network.)

Oh, thanks then! Usually when I want to mention someone in a post (on a social-network site for example) then I say that I "tag" him to see that. I have no problem to use "ping" here.
