@MartinSleziak Just to clarify, I meant that the old thread should probably contain link to the new one (the one which is not created yet).
Just now I noticed that what I wrote can (perhaps) be interpreted in two different ways.
However, the suggestion of the wording already contains a link to the discussion about creating duplicate thread. So I guess it was clear what I meant even without this addition.

Again, asking as a non-native speaker. Should it be a first attempt or the first attempt?
I have copied the SEDE query from somewhere and did not notice that it still contains the PostId as the parameter in the linke. But perhaps it does not do any harm. (In fact, users can see from that link that PostId can be passed as a parameter. Some people might not know this.)
But I have still changed "You can find review for a particular post using this SEDE query." to "You can find review for a particular post using this SEDE query" to "You can find review for a particular post using this SEDE query by entering the question id. "

Q: Why is it “A first,” not “The first” for U.S Ice Dancing team taking the top spot in Sochi”?

Yoichi OishiI heard that the announcer, Tim McGuire reported that; “A first for U.S. Ice Dancing team, Gold. Meryl Davis, Charlie White taking the top spot in Sochi.” in February 17 AP Radio News. I also found ”a fifth / sixth term” in Jeffery Archer’s fiction, “Prodigal Daughter”: “It was from ...

Q: “A first time” or “the first time”

user1425I am not sure what difference there is between This is the first time I've lost my passport. This is a first time I've lost my passport. Would appreciate your explanation.

Other than that, I do not see any issues with the current wording.
I am leaving "a first attempt". (It was your addition, your English is definitely better than mine.)
After my edit we are at revision 101: link, source.
@quid Two questions: 1) Do you plan on some further improvements before launching the thread. 2) Do you want to post it or should I?

10:13 AM
@MartinSleziak re 1, no. re 2, it seems most natural to me if you'd post it.
Thanks for the info on conversations in teh other room!

@quid ok, I will post it today.
Also I'd say that you are Asaf are just as natural candidates for making the post as I am. (Asaf posted an answer suggesting created it, you contributed a lot to the discussion about the thread and the wording.)

Q: The duplicate thread

Martin SleziakThis thread is intended to help with closure of duplicates. The main use case are situations where a first attempt at duplicate closure was not successful.1 The creation of this thread was decided here. Some basic rules: Do not use this thread for other types of closures, it is only for duplic...
