Man... templates...
Ok, it's too late to write recursive templates. I'll tackle this at an earlier time.

I'll drink to that.

Managed to salvage it to a -500 day. ;)

I just realized you lost more rep than I have.

@bruglesco I've been around longer, that's all.
I've actually been thinking I should start bounty-ing questions to actually put the accrued rep I've got to good use. I just rarely think to go looking for good questions to highlight that way.

@DMGregory It is very considerate and kind of you to frame that it that way but highly inaccurate. I have very little knowledge in the realm of game dev or software dev and will likely never approach your rep level here across the same time frame.

@bruglesco I didn't have much knowledge when I started. But we gotta start somewhere. :)

That's fair. I'd wager we have very different starting points though
But we shall see. Maybe I'll consider it a challenge.
(I always enjoy a good challenge.)

I work with c++ templates because I like long error messages.

@AlexandreVaillancourt template errors are the worst. No wait, linker errors can be even worse.

10:17 PM
@Almo Yeah, linker errors are much worse. At least, in the latest editions of VS, template and linker error messages have improved a lot!

Oh I suddenly have the urge to try VS 2019

@AlexandreVaillancourt yeah, C# template errors aren't as bad either. I guess they could make their C++ compiler make decent errors, but C++ isn't their creation so they don't give a shit
