To be honest, Sing seemed to me like one of those animated thingies where you could just switch out all the animals for humans and animation for reality and make absolutely no difference. And the film yould just be a Fame-like run-of-the-mill personal success story.

@NapoleonWilson Well spoken. I could say that or flag for moderator attention as being primarily opinion based. (Heehee)

Well, I don't hide the fact that it's my personal opinion, of course.

Hee hee.

@NapoleonWilson basically
I'm not saying it'll be a piece of high art, but it looks like it could be fun and has a lot of good music

I haven't even heard of it ;)

Darkraihttps://media.giphy.com/media/3o6ZtpEhvwwJ4o47QI/giphy-downsized-large.gif please help me finding this movie or tv series

A J
@NapoleonWilson Ankit watched it already. Deepika is starring in this movie. Though I am not a fan of her.

@DForck42 Well, sure.

@DForck42 Oh my. That's handful. My niece is 13. She's a handful. She looks like she's 22. She's going to be heartbreaker. Ugh.

@steelersquirrel It's about the intricacies at an American Idol/America's Got Talent thingie, but with animals.

A J
@AnkitSharma Not me

5:08 PM
@NapoleonWilson Well, does it have squirrels in it?

@steelersquirrel lol

A J
@NapoleonWilson Are movie posters ok in tag wiki?

@AJ I don't know. We never had them, I think. If anything, they seem a little useless to being with.

Q: ID Questions - Time to update the Guidance to include Image ID?

Paulie_DThe continuing inflow of Image ID questions continues and our current guidance does not mention these specifically. It's my understanding that the current 'rule' is that these are off-topic as not meeting site quality standards and are of neglible future value...right? However the closure 'noti...

@steelersquirrel unsure

5:10 PM

@AJ in the except (the hover text) no, in the detailed section, sure

A J

@MetaReel We really needed this one.

SQB
@NapoleonWilson Yup, pretty much.
@steelersquirrel I don't remember any. It does have (Japanese) red pandas which look a bit like them, but no.

oh hey, the literature site just launched

@DForck42 YAY!!! Finally!!!
I'm going to have to ask question over there now.
Argh! I need my sister.

A J
Ok

@AJ Awww. The link doesn't work. Who's number 7?

@DForck42 There is a way, though. There's some workaround to that.

@NapoleonWilson oh?

5:33 PM
I forgot how it works, though.

A J
@steelersquirrel It's a surprise. Google top 50 popular women and open first link.
@NapoleonWilson I know and @DForck42 I can get in, but I'm not interested.

I am interested. But I couldn't commit.

@AJ Shouldn't work.
Oh wait, it did actually work. Heh!
And my user ID is just 1 larger than my user ID here, hehe!
(Now I just need to have a smaller user ID than Rand al'Thor, muahahaha!)

@NapoleonWilson Wait. What? What do you want me to email?

A J
@NapoleonWilson Mine is 47

@steelersquirrel Too late.

A J
5:41 PM
@NapoleonWilson Why wouldn't it work? I did this.

@AJ Well, I thought you hav to have committed to participate in private beta, that's why it's private.
But I might have mixed that up with users without an actual account not being able to see it.
Hmpf, and the first questions about films arrived. :'(

A J
I did this for one site but it wasn't my cup of tea. So I deleted my account there. I committed to Language Learning only as I followed the proposal.

@NapoleonWilson Are you talking about over at Literature? We're all over in that chatroom now ;)

@steelersquirrel I see.

Well...it's new! It's a new thing to play with!! ;)

5:50 PM
@AnkitSharma Answered anyway, since I see you told me back then in the comments that short films are OK, so why not.

@steelersquirrel 'f course.

@NapoleonWilson think you'll pick a literary name for lit?

@DForck42 I hope so.

@NapoleonWilson lol

I have one on Science Fiction & Fantasy and could just use that. I doubt I've read much that isn't SF&F with which I identify and which has a unqiue and interesting character name (that's not already used by everyone and their grandma).

6:35 PM
Where did everyone go?

Other sites' chatrooms, where else.

Okay. I will just hang out over there, then ;)

I see.

6:38 PM
It's just like being in Mos. Same people ;)

Yeah, I see.

Except you and DForck42, of course ;)
@NapoleonWilson That's not going to stop you from going over there hope!

@steelersquirrel No, not yet, don't worry. It's a fresh chatroom. Besides that, I hope it will be filled with fresh users anyway.

@NapoleonWilson Well, so far, I have known every person in there from here or Mos ;)

Well, then let's say I hope it's not a bijective mapping. ;-)

6:44 PM
Er, I have zero clue what that even means ;)
I gotta go. See you later :)

@steelersquirrel bye

@steelersquirrel Awww! :'(
Well, have fun!

Kyle StrandIn the climax of Paul Verhoeven's Elle (2016), Elle's actions here seem (to me) fairly intentional, especially her behavior in the car. She seems to want Similarly, It could be that this is just another instance of Elle trying to but she doesn't just So, was this planned? Is there ...

Q: The false claim that resemblance to real people is accidental

ChaimSomeone recently asked about the false claim that a movie was based on a true story. I often wonder about the opposite claim: Any resemblance to actual persons living or dead is entirely coincidental. It is strange that this message often appears after a film in which such a resemblance is obviou...

Q: Films in which animals were actually harmed?

DukeZhou"No animals were harmed in the making of this film" is so ubiquitous now it got me thinking about films where animals actually were harmed. Two examples jump to mind: Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now in the scene when they sacrifice the water buffalo. Alejandro Jodorowsky's The Holy Mount...

Q: Is it true that Jodorowsky killed all the lambs himself for the crucifixion procession in The Holy Mountain?

DukeZhouI have this story through the oral tradition (an artist friend and Jodorowsky expert related the tale to me.) Essentially, the story goes, no one wanted to slaughter all of the lambs necessary for the procession scene in The Holy Mountain and so Jodorowsky took it upon himself in service of his ...

> Nine times out often it's an electric razor. But every once in a while...it's a dildo. It's company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo. We have to use the indefinite article, a dildo, never your dildo.
