Oh... dunno. This one was over and done really quickly. It was answered within minutes of getting asked... plus, the only real points of reference in the question were the name "Briar", which is in my answer as the title of one of the books, and the fact that it was a set of four kids, which can be interpreted from the fact that each book is named after a different kid.
But I get what you're saying.
I think that together, Richard's answer validates mine but mine is "more" correct because it's the name of the full series and all four books rather than only the first book in the series.
If I'd been the only person answering, I would definitely have included a description of the plot, though... but we posted our answers almost simultaneously.

@Catija Well, me knows nothing about no Italy. Though, my mother indeed uses the lines quite often when the weather is nice. I don't think you really can put everything into a dryer.
That being said, I can't complain about my place at all, it's amazing. I'm a friggin single, that apartment completely suffices, and I'm easily from one room to the other, and I can see my TV from my PC and from my bed if I leave the door open. What's more to expect!
