In a small village near Paris, 14-year-old boys and girls enter the training center for future lads and jockeys. For these young pupils, the transition between the family environment and this new world is brutal. Though sharing the world of teenagers - flirting, cell phones and PlayStation - they enter a world where the comfort of the horses comes before that of the human. This documentary film

This exhilarating documentary chronicles Mikhail Khodorkovsky's transformation from a self-proclaimed socialist to a fully realized capitalist - also recounting the stunning turn of events that made him one of world's most famous political prisoners. From Academy Award(R)-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes "John Carter"--a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). "John Carter" is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain Jo

Ah neat feed, good job @phwd
@mootinator Its hard to draw a line (especially with movies) because in books there's often plenty of hints and details, whereas in movies they often leave entire chapters out. Creating holes that weren't even there in the original story

Q: What should our FAQ contain?

AlonzoIs it too early to start thinking about what should our FAQ should contain? In order to prevent this site from turning into Trivia central we need some borders. I don't think we can get all in one go (or even at the end of private beta) but we could at least start.

Q: What's trivia and where do we draw the line?

AlonzoAt least two users I have talked to said they are not interested in this site if it is just Trivia. To me trivia is well trivial, Who is the main actor in Superman? How many cars are in Gone in 60 seconds? Basically anything that can be answered within a few seconds on a Game Show. Am ...

Q: 200 rep cap should be relaxed for Private Beta

AlonzoI just hit the reputation cap, and I am not sure that's a good thing or not. Currently the privileges are relaxed. So I assume when public beta opens the privileges causing a gap in what we were once able to do for example close and re-open questions 3000 Vote to close, reopen, or migrate an...

Q: Should we ask for a 'general reference' close reason?

TshepangLooking at this question, What is a "performance capture" animation movie?, I tried to vote to close it, but none of the reasons fit well. I would have liked to vote to close it due to being a general reference kinda question. Have a look at this blog post for background.

Q: Yes, that was a plot hole, and?

mootinatorIs pointing out obvious plot holes really on topic? This question has a lot of upvotes, but to me it seems like a candidate for a "Yes, that was a plot hole." and a close vote. Even on the original question on scifi the answer is very discussiony. Kind of interesting, but not terribly useful. ...

Q: Is this question on Wedding Crashers trivia?

AlonzoThe question asks about To what extent were the central characters in Wedding Crashers improvising?, to which a user replied with answer sourced from movie trivia. Even the OP asks for other scenes, it is clear this is a case of it's in the trivia that's all there is to it. The only other over r...

Bioshock Movie Trailer

OMG they are making Bioshock into a movie?
Could be awesome, could easily be terrible too - so many adaptations of comics and games are

Not sure, from the comments and the profile page it seems it's a spec trailer
But it is well done
It's in the IMDB site though

The game has such a good overarching mythology. A lot of that could go to waste if they don't get good writers though, and turn into an underwater action movie with art-deco scenery.
I see that Mass Effect is also in development

I'm not sure if I have seen a popular game successfully turn into a good movie
except for animated movies
such as street fighter
The resident evil set was sorta okay starting up but now not so much

Yeah, I can't think of any to be honest .... but Bioshock should be more interesting than most.

9:26 PM
Closest I can think of is Tron, but that doesn't really count

I think the movie came before the game of Tron .... it's a story based on the idea of a computer game, but the game didn't pre-exist the movie I think.

Yeah I think you are right

i like the super mario bros. movie...

The international one or the one from Japan?

the american one with john legazamos (sp?)

9:38 PM
Yeah for its original story line I guess it is okay
It honestly confused me

@phwd really?
what about it confused you?

Dinohattan
The effort to stay around reptilians

ahh
the writers "creative" way to explain the other world

Yeah....
And the fungus omg.... I cannot remember what exactly but fungus was always in the scene

10:08 PM
@phwd I believe its a fan-film, the movie was supposedly cancelled or at least stalled
