@mkt just recently I was thinking of using networks based on relationships of votes, questions and answers to generate links between users and their interests in order to group, rank or categorize questions and answers. Of course, this requires some better access to the database, but I imagine that in such a way new rankings/groupings could emerge that can be used/tweaked for various goals (at least this would save a lot of manual labour if one could do this).
